Got about a month left before completion. I've emailed them 3 times now and keep getting response to say someone will get back to me. I've finally emailed the manager as well.
Hoping they will do something about it.....0 -

We don't just build a house on the land as it is, we make the land level. "Can't be bothered" is no excuse!
With our new build they wouldn't commit to a level garden so we didn't push for turf. I'm glad we didn't as the back garden sloped away from the garden quite significantly so once we moved in we levelled the garden and then put in a lawn when we were ready.1 -

GixerKate said:Unless there is something specific in the documentation about the garden having to be levelled then I would personally say that they are unlikely to take up the turf, re-do the garden and lay extra turf (which hasn't been budgeted for) unless there is a significant problem.

When I looked at one it was actually in the plans as to how level the garden would be and what the slope was.

I spoke to them and they said apparently one of the drawings showed that I was going to have gravel board in the garden for retaining which I should have picked up one because it said GB in a circle...... Anyways I guess I won't win this one. They said they are going to fill up and turf up to the gravel board so there won't be a gap behind it.
Regarding garden level they said site manager will go and inspect it but didn't say what they will do about it if anything.0 -
Now you have bought it they will try everything they can to avoid fixing it. Don't give up!0

If the developer is still selling houses on the site and you really want to push them to fix something..
Big sign on your property that says don't buy a house here.(or similar)
Strange how quickly the site manager and foreman will be round to fix any faults you have.1
