Why is the garden raised?. Is it on a hill, or have they buried their rubbish under there?jam6008 said:Raised a few issues after they let us in to see the property.
The garden is at a higher level than the side gate entrance so they've built some sort of retaining barrier. It's strange because it looks like they're using concrete fence posts with some concrete wall. It looks ugly and im not sure it's suited for purpose.0 -
The garden is on a slope. The house is raised and the garden outside the back door is same level but then it goes downhill. See attached.

Surely this is not allowed?

From your photographs, it looks like the concrete bit is 'decorative' - isn't the garden being retained by the wooden planks and posts?jam6008 said:Raised a few issues after they let us in to see the property.

The wooden bit I'm guessing is temporary. There is a massive gap between that and concrete barrier so not sure what their plan is hereCSI_Yorkshire said:

They should level it off. Who wants a sloping garden?0

I'm sorry but that garden looks awful to me. That concrete post is not flush with the steps and maybe it's just the photo but the middle of the garden looks like is bowed. I would not be happy with that at all.jam6008 said:Surely this is not allowed?
Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool.1 -
Yeh doesn't look the best. Not too sure how to go about getting it sorted. They have already turfed it and they would say levels are what they are....Sunsaru said:

Isn't water all going to pool into the middle? Looks like it slopes down on both sides..1

Don't accept it! They can re-turf it if they did it wrong.jam6008 said:

We don't just build a house on the land as it is, we make the land level. "Can't be bothered" is no excuse!0
