For those interested, euro-parking-services have now removed the BPA logo from their 'content'
I know it's not a big deal... but still funny that they have been forced to do it.
I wonder how long IAS back and forths go on for... I know it's probably irrelevant. But, it's like a game of tennis right now.
Cheers1 -
Just received a ticket of these the other day, visited the shops once in the morning and again in the evening even though two separate times way under the stated time, the 'camera' has just taken the morning entry and the evening leave0

Hello,
As expected the dodgy IAS have dismissed my appeal!
I know they are a dodgy kangaroo court - but I thought it could be one of the few that they did the right thing on as I could evidence the following despicable behaviour:
1.
They violated the IPC code-of-practice at least 5 times.
(including: no entrance signs, missing signs, non-compliant signs, no consideration period evidenced, not marking no-parking areas clearly), predatory behaviour.
2.
That every single piece of 'evidence' provided to the IAS by euro-parking-services was in fact - FALSE. e.g. they had evidence that showed entrance signs and other signs that weren't actually there! non-compliant signs...
3.
They stated about 3 contradictory descriptions of the area where the car was situated. i.e. they made it up.
e.g. Its for wheelchairs / its a path that goes somewhere (it is neither of those)
4.
The awful euro-parking-services scum denied my initial appeal then stated a discount period would be extended - but I evidenced the fact it had NOT and the charge had gone straight to £100.
So - even though I could show all that - the disgraceful IAS said nothing about the lies and behaviour of euro-parking-services and they have denied the appeal!
I know you know they are jokers - but I thought this was a pretty simple one - i.e. they totally flouted the IPC code-of-practice.
Plus - the timeframe they have in their evidence is only for 2 minutes and 23 seconds!
I guess I wait to see what happens next - I have taken it up with the land owners - I wonder what will happen their.
Absolute scummy jokers.

You got it! "Outrageous scam" MPs called the appalling set up that supports this rogue industry.
Come back if you get a claim; at least you've seen a preview of the crap extent of their arguments and evidence.
BTW can anyone find the latest dross IAS Annual Report online?
I got error 404 codes on IPC links and could only find an older one.
Wonder if they've miraculously improved their woeful 5% average in finding in favour of appellants in cases 'heard' by the anonymous assessors?

Yeah thanks Coupon-mad.
Well, i'm not paying them.
Hopefully the landowner will come through. I will update on here.
I have also submitted another enquiry asking them (the IAS) to state how the claim can be 'lawful' if I have clearly evidenced the company have NOT followed the IPC code-of-practice. The IAS morons totally ignored that section and probably didn't even look at it.
They claim to be only able to 'assess the lawfulness' - yet they actually only look at the narrow 'contravention' and ignore every point that shows it is not lawful. Its not rocket-science.
Is that list of contraventions to the IPC code and the fact they lied in evidence and lied and didn't offer a discount period - basically the future evidence i would need for a court case? in worst case scenario?

Your defence is mostly about no consideration period to read the signs (minimum 5 mins) PLUS no entrance sign to give you a heads up = no contract agreed.
I once lost an IAS appeal I did for someone vulnerable last year, where there 'entrance sign' was blank - completely white due to sun bleaching. And the only other sign was attached to a garage nowhere near the parking bays. No way could the driver have "agreed to a contract" nor even known the place was 'controlled'.
And the PCN was also issued within 3 minutes; no time to fetch a permit from the upstairs flat anyway.
Did the IAS give a flying fig? Nope.
Did she pay?
Yes, sadly, she was a carer visiting a terminally ill patient and English wasn't her first language. She couldn't cope. Her company then heard about it and paid her back as they sympathised and didn't want her ripped off. But that meant a proper public service (carers) had paid a scammer £100.
The IAS is utterly appalling, IMHO.
Thank goodness for the new Government-controlled Single Appeals Service replacing IAS and POPLA next year.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That rubbish Coupon-mad - good attempt though!
The scum IAS just came back to me and said:
"
The Independent Appeals Service (IAS) is unable to interfere
with the decisions made by the Adjudicator, as this would compromise the
independence of the service. Once a decision has been made, the decision
is final and cannot be altered.
"
I guess, they dont care about the adjudicator (probably some moron) not applying their own rules and guidance!1
