hi, I have received this today, I’ve checked the company website and it doesn’t work. I have seen similar letters on here but just with a different company name, I also received a email today saying that there was a fire in there server room and for me to pay via a different site, can some please confirm that this is a scam

    That looks like the latest iteration of last year's scam (YES - A SCAM) bailiff letter.

    @Grizebeck do you agree?

    @SRogan1991 show us the back page please.

    Thought so.  Needs reporting to Action Fraud and CIVEA.  AGAIN!

    OP can we also see their email they sent (copy & paste it please - but redact your data) and tell us what email address sent it?

    And that back page please.

    We need to show other readers about this scam.

    Might be worth a few calls to their payment line to block it up and take their time. As it's got office hours I assume it's not automated and has people there. Few wrong digits so they can't find the reference will stop them speaking to other people and scamming
    Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

    Up to you how much you redact but personally I'd be uneasy with my name and vehicle reg being shared publicly on here, together with likely year of birth....

    I agree. OP you can report the opening post by clicking on the exclamation mark in the red box below the post and selecting includes personal data.  Or email the forum team.

    Then you could re-post the letter with your personal details redacted so others who may be caught up in this scam are aware it is just that..A scam!

    OP, perhaps you should also consider this...

    ...have you based your forum username on your real name? If so, you may want to get your forum username changed to something completely anonymous.

    To help with that, have a read of this item from the Forum's FAQs:

    Can I change my username?

    In most circumstances, we don't allow this.

    The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk e.g. you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something which gives away your identity within your username.

    If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com your current username, the email address you registered with and three alternative usernames in order of preference.
