…and that condition at the time of purchase is a lot easier to demonstrate two days after purchase (or, rather, 11 days as that was the first time they saw the vehicle) than three and a half years.

OP, just get on with your life,

You have no chance of getting any money off anyone no matter how much you think you deserve some

I did have all the checks done. I drove from Chelmsford to Basingstoke to leave it with them to have all issues resolved, and they didn't. I had complained continuously and finance batted me away.

You've been told multiple times you aren't going to get anywhere. Nobody has backed you up and nobody thinks you're going to get anywhere after all this time

Yeah, its the way you say it, what's the point? I came here looking for advice not to be spoken to like the way you do. Its just as easy to say, no, even though you've got clear evidence of your original problems its just too late or impossible to proceed with it.

What do I need backing up about? I came here to use the forum as I have done for years to ask advice, not argue with people that speak to people like you do.

So to my main point, about the pulling of the steering. I have been repeatedly to garages since owning the van, to have it checked, as it was hurting my arm. Tracking was out. A month later, tracking out. A month later, tracking out. Again and again. So ive had to have it checked over properly it has been checked and they found the arms under the van and are nigh on coming away.

The place you should be questioning is the garage you're using to get the tracking done. If they are doing the tracking every month without telling you what the problem is then there is something seriously wrong with their checks.

Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
