422 kWh  - that's above average for a gas heated house   You should be able to cut that by 100

If you've not done it already - time for a room by room inventory - include the garage, shed, attic - pond, fish tank.
ok, could it be related to a leaking radiator, which i have just noticed - will be getting that replaced asap.
i have small fish tank biorb 60lt globe, an additional freezer running
then its just tv, avr etc

Electric shower?  (havent used over past month)

American type fridge freezer?  (one in kitchen, but its not that big - but in that style and also a seperate freezer for extra items)

Desktop PC?  (yes, but only on when i need to use it, but it on a smart plug - so it turns off during night)

Any electric heaters or underfloor.eldctric heating?   (not used and all unplugged,  there have been maybe a few moments when kids have put on the dyson purifier cold+ hot but nothing more then 10-15 minute in total, as i started putting on the central heating)

Electric Vehicle?  -  only a hybrid, but we haven't been using it over the past month.

i will have to keep diagnosing.

If we are doing averages we use 205 kWh a month in the summer and due to allergies that's using the tumble dryer 5-6 times a week. Washing machine 7-8 times a week. Fridge freezer inside (not American which can be guzzlers) and a seperate freezer outside. We also run the hot water on the Air Source heat pump 4-5 times a week in summer plus either heating or air con for the converted garage gym on the ait to air heat pump heater/cooler.

Oven/hob/air fryer and BBQ for cooking

Working from home so general power use for laptops and screens.

Mays figures are a little off this year as the ASHP heating has been left on due to the dips in temps but likely to go off in the next couple of days fully so we can match last year's Jun-Aug averages.

That extra 100 kwh at 27p/kwh would cost you........£27

Did you mean to ask that?  ;)
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

Is that a heat pump tumble dryer? Our condenser dryer uses around 4kWh each batch.

Vented on a Tapo plug 2kwh per load on average measured over many months and outside temps last year in the interests of getting to know exactly what each electrical appliance we own uses.

As soon as it shows signs of packing up we will invest in a heat pump tumble dryer saving us around £100 a year so if any come with a 5 year guarantee and under £500 it makes economical and payback sense.
