Noisy Neighbours driving me mad!

I get the impression that the OP thinks the neighbours are noisy because they are tenants, because they are not private tenants and because there is some assumption that they are on benefits.
I worked in the business for years, had thousands of tenants and hundreds of landlords in my business and can assure you of one one thing - not all obnoxious neighbours are tenants and being on benefits does not turn people into nasty tenants.
Landlords are not directly responsible for their tenants behaviour. If the neighbours owned the property would you contact the mortgage company and ask them to evict the neighbours because they were noisy? Of course not
The council may or may not be able to do something about your neighbours, different councils have different ways of working, that’s my experience.I have been a tenant for many years and had the neighbours from hell next door. I rented, they owned the house. So I found somewhere else to live. The agent, who was a personal friend, had some difficult tenants who were 4 sharers and came home from work at 10/11 pm and went to bed about 2 ish. I don’t know what the outcome was but couldn’t resist a smile.
One final note, the vast vast majority of tenants are well behaved and do not ruin their neighbour’s lives. If people are going to misbehave or be obnoxious they will do so. Their housing situation is not really relevant. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Good point but when you drive by, they could be nice and quiet.
Many years ago my mom property she bought the signal for phones was bad, without calling on the phone there easy to miss.

When I was in my late teens I rented a flat, and the wall between mine and the flat next door was pretty thin. It didn't generally bother me as I was hardly ever there anyway, and generally they were pretty quiet.
The only time they were noisy was before they went out clubbing on a saturday night. For some reason they decided they always had to have sex just before going out, and the girl used to scream like she was being murdered.
Thankfully it didn't last very longbut was very funny when I had friends round

Knocked on neighbors doors to gauge the area and asked about any trouble, noise, parties. Looked on local crime maps to see if any reported anti social behaviour or crime was in the immediate area.
Obviously this isn't fall proof as they could be away or quiet when you go around, but never would I view a house once and not go back to it to check these things.0 -
These days if you join the local residents Facebook group that tends to show you what problems you may have in the local area.1

Friends of mine shared a flat with a couple who sound very similar. The female half of the couple did exactly the same.1 -
@MRP63 I sympathise with you but as others have said, you seem to have opened a thread about this already and not sure if you acted on any responses?
I have had to sell up and move twice because of noisy neighbours (both tenants and each landlord wasn't interested).
It's a crazy world we live in.... Most people want to live peacefully and some don't care, unless they're making other people miserable. Should you have to move? Of course not but if these neighbours are affecting you to the point you're posting several posts about the same thing, maybe it's time to move. That's unfair but that's life and your mental health, happiness and wellbeing comes first.
If you take matters further and you report it, you will have to disclose the dispute when you sell.
I have brilliant neighbours now and although moving twice was stressful, it was well worth the time, money and effort. All the best.2 -
You need to find a way to live with these people. They are unlikely to go tomorrow and if they give no grief to the landlord they may be there a while.People suggesting you move are not saying its fair just what you can do to improve your life.To be blunt, you need to take action of some sort because noone else will do anything to sort this issue out for you.May you find your sister soon Helli.
