What a wonderful Mum - I know mine would do the same, but it would kill me to take it as she struggles too.

As of next year our company are not paying ANY sick leave. SSP still stands of course afters a certain number of days but its a pitance! They have a very high staff turnover here - wonder why! (No xmas party, no annual pay rise, no bonuses, no thanks!)

I hope so, i really do.

Just been offered £50 if I sleep with this bloke i've known for a while. If it don't get sorted I might have to take him up on the offer. (And he is being serious!!) LOL LOL

Only if you want to anyway.
As he has put that deal you need to make sure he gets value for money.
Romantic evening, nice dinner, new dress, hair do, manicure, pedicure, maybe spa visit.
Would be inconsiderate of you not to let him pay for these things as part of this business proposition.
Just thought - after that make sure you both get a good nights sleep - maybe some horlicks?

Sorry to hear about all this coming at once. Good luck.

I sometimes realise how lucky I am. I was signed off sick for 2 weeks over the summer and only lost £30, I get an annual payrise, although no bonus (it's not that perfect!)
    Current debt - £16,300 :(
    Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek:
:ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A
  • I get NOTHING! EVER.
but then I am a temp.
And I have to pay for time off on bank holidays and Christmas too! - it comes out of my holiday leave.
    Terrible really.

Don't panic. Assume for today and tomorrow you're going to get the pay thing sorted out and as far as the dental appointment goes will they take a cheque? At least it gives you a fews days breathing space (with Xmas holidays) to sort your finances out. You can't go through Xmas with a broken tooth! Have you got a cheque book?
  • Thanks for your support and words guys, means a lot. I do lurk here alot but dont' really get time to post much and I haven't got round to organising the internet at home yet!! LOL

anyway, no i havent got a cheque book, i do have a CC card which I pay off in full every month so I'm going to have to stick the dentist bill on there and cut down on other things throughout Jan to pay for it.

Aww, glad to hear things worked out reasonable well.

Go back and give that "friend" who was going to give you £50 to sleep with him a big slap. And tell everyone in the office what he said. What a vulture.
