    Ah, but does the cat understand the relationship between mass, volume and density? I suppose it might, if it's from the same lab as Schrodinger's moggy.
    I’ve had cats all my adult life, I’m now 70.  I know just how fussy they can be when it comes to change of food.  I had one cat who ate anything you put in front of him plus he was very fond of crisps.  I tried to teach my cats Physics (my degree is in Physics) but they weren’t interested  :D. As others have said the people who are happy with this food are not going to complain on social media.

    If this food is genuinely making cats sick I would have a chat with your vet, ours are happy to chat on the phone for free.

    One thing I would be concerned about is the advice to feed the food from the fridge.  Every vet I’ve ever spoken to has said cats should only be fed food at room temperature.  Food straight from the fridge is not good for them plus it won’t taste as good.

    Think strawberries, straight from the fridge they are tasteless, at room temperature they are fine

    @Murphybear

    That is why I love pouches  - room temperature

    The katkin food, I always gently warm up against their advice, I would hate to eat cold food and don't expect my cats to like it.

    My cats are not sick but some people in social media said their cats are and the stools changed too.

    I have ordered trial boxes from other providers and while it arrives I'm feeding my cats the previous Katkin pouches I had in the freezer plus some kibble that I always buy for the crunchy factor.

    Since you are a seasoned cat owner, what food do you recommend please? And do you agree with raw?

    Thank you

    The only wet food our current boy will eat is Felix (the fishy ones). I know they're the equivalent of Turkey Twizzlers but what can you do? Previous boy loved Nature's Menu until they changed the formula (it really is frustrating when that happens isn't it? :/) and IAMS. At least current boy likes the Royal Canin prescription diet dry. Hope you find something Bobby/Dobby will eat.

  • To be fair to the OP it was said on Facebook the company have closed their phone lines so presumably they are getting some backlash on this. One FB user posted these which is quite a comparison!

    This looks like it's been heated up from the bubbles, contrary to company's advice. Can you confirm?

    I used to wait until  brands like Hills/Royal Canin had special offers and bought in bulk.  I was advised by a vet that very cheap food has a lot of sugar.  We had a cat from Cats Protection a few years ago and some of his back teeth had to be removed as they were in poor condition, most likely caused by too much sugar.

    When our last cat got kidney problems she was put on a special diet from Hills/Royal Canin and she lived another 2 years relatively healthy.  She was 20 when she died.

    it’s very difficult to advise about food because it depends so much on your budget.

    I don’t know much about raw food as I’ve only tried it once.  It was kept in the freezer and allowed to thaw naturally ie no microwave.  Unfortunately the little so and sos wouldn’t touch it.  As you know, cats can be notoriously fussy :D

    Sadly not, you'd have to check on Facebook to see if the comments say anything about the photos provided by the people over the there.  :)
