Coupon-mad said:Perfectly safe and better to discuss it here. The windscreen in the vehicle was replaced and the permit was not put on new windscreen. I do not hold the gentleman who did the windscreen liable or the windscreen company liable or point the blame at them since it is in my view irrelevant due to the fact the PCN should of been cancelled upon proof of residency regardless of circumstances.Would the windcreen and permit part need to be mentioned in the defence statement since I am denying it is even relevant because of the whole lease part? Even if briefly0

Nope, save it for WS stage. DCBLegal will discontinue.
Remove my section that guesses that the driver might have been unloading or fetching a permit.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for everyones help and guidance. If DCBlegal were to discontinue would that be the end of it or could UKPC start the whole process again at a later date i.e sendind letters etcIs there a way to get rid of them for good?0

38.7 refers.
Thanks my interpretation of that is although presumably unlikely they will claim again I can not get rid of them permanently and a claim could be issued again.

A good link from B789
Before DCBL discontinue they send a begging letter offering to do a deal.
YOU IGNORE THAT ..... shortly after they send a letter to discontinue saying they have been instructed by their client
In reality DCBL have told UKPC that it's another crap case and DCBL do not want a spanking in court
But in their words, our client, that's UKPC have instructed them ?
So onwards to the B789 link .....
(1) A claimant who discontinues a claim needs the permission of the court to make another claim against the same defendant
UKPC are the claimant and DCBL has put the onus back to UKPC
If UKPC were stupid enough to have another go, they would have to explain why they discontinued the case .....
Think of it like Laurel and Hardy ... "that's another fine mess you have got me into"2 -

In that case is it unwise to laugh in their face and make them aware of the fact they are begging along with explaining how they are moronic and deserve to die a painful death.. something along those lines. About being in a room with them and a club hammer with no risk of retribution. Squeezing my thumbs into their eyeballs until they pop. That sort of thing.

...and it would cost the dimwitted UKPC about £108 just to "request permission" which does not guarantee that that request will be granted. As good as finished with if they discontinue.2
