Having to take a break from doing 'stuff'..................ex foster girl called and we went down to the second hand shop............I came back with just a candle for 50p - she got some curtains and a blackboard for her kitchen. Cup of coffee when we got back and she eyeballed the little drawer thingy that I'd started to paint and decided to get rid of and said its perfect size for her bathroom and could she have it ? certainly she could, plus an old chair in the garage I forgot I'd got (couldn't believe the rubbish out there when I went and looked !!)...........so thats two more bits out of the way.
Back to plant trough - skeleton leave and me don't mix...........and I've fallen out with pva glue !!!! Whats more as I dabbed the edges of the skeleton leaves I was trying to stick on my paint started coming off:eek:

Time to call a halt I think and possible have another go tomorrow ?? My schedule for the week will be up the spout - opticians in the morning to get specs sorted is first port of call and then chemist for some cough medicine for OH who oh so conveniently forgets these things.............you;d think the fact he's hacking away would remind him he needed something.

Little computer room still a mess due to my little outing,,,,,,,,,,,newspaper on the floor, little matchpots of paint and plant trough laying on the mat !
    As for bed settee................well I can't see it !!! I know its there........somewhere.

Still, all things considered (pva glue, skeleton leaves etc) nice to have a walk out and have a look around

Well, been to the opticians and had lens put back, bank post office and other boring things (except stuff from the craft shop -could run riot in there)
Got home with best of intentions then ex foster lad and his friend called to do some work in the garden for me. Plants to put in so had to show him where and what and so on, so schedule for today gone to pot !
Think I might just touch up the paint on plant trough and leave it open...........looks quite nice with floral shopping bag and floral brolly in it.........so, tomorrow morning, touch up paint and when dry, varnish - job done !
Decided I must, really must, get some appointments sorted out with the hairdresser to use up OH's christmas pressy voucher............will phone in the morning and book apointment for much needed facial............lol
Next week I'll have legs shaved, week after - manicure, then pedicure & final hair do.

E mail from big bruv............saying nothing much except that they're spending today house cleaning, tomorrow shopping and then Ikea !! Makes me wonder why he's retired to Spain.............he could do all of that here and why be so 'routine' when time is your own ? I certainly wouldn't thats for sure but then I don't anyway...............lol

Appointments all booked now with hairdresser so within three weeks I just might feel like a 'proper' person and human again.............lol
Just as well I booked as the beautician is expecting a baby...........
This Friday - Back massage and manicure -oh the state of my nails:eek:
Nex Friday - Facial, lip wax, eyebrow shape and hair do (bliss)
Following Thursday - Leg was and pedicure..............oh luxury

So, my diaries getting organises...........might see Mum in between appointments for a couple of days. Apparently she's quite chatty despite chest infection...........I'll know more tonight when her friend rings me.

Gradually getting round computer room and finding things I forgot were there !
Few things I know I want to keep and once I put all the 'freecycle' stuff and things waiting to be collected by ex foster lad into the cubby hole with the elec meter I'll have more of an idea where things can go..............loving it.........and whats more its ridding my head of ''stuff'' at the same time:T

Whew....well now pretty much up and running with "me blog". Steep learning curve time and all that. Hadnt expected to be quite so "tied-up" in other directions still - is it possible to find that 4 firms at once who have done/are doing work on the "old dump" (aka my house) have made all sorts of irritating mistakes etc? _pale_ :naughty: Obviously is - as I'm currently in process of trying to get all their various mistakes sorted out. Don't ask - you don't wanna know the details........ Suffice it to say I'm going round repeating the mantra "It'll all be sorted by a month by now....it will.....it will" to myself - doing my positive thinking bit.

Still - thats what I've been spending a fair bit of time doing today - getting my blog into a bit better shape. Doublechecking links/editing/etc. Just a blogroll to do at some point - when I can figure out how. So - thats a large part of my "filing system/reference library" online now - well at least I can get at it wherever I am now. So - making progress in one direction anyways.

Think I'm in for a bit of thoughts on spaceclearing type stuff (as in calm the atmosphere down bit) in my home once "The Hassles" have been dealt with. Hope it wont be long now until I can get it back into "calming/peaceful Refuge" mode (and all the better for the simplifying/decluttering I have been doing).

Pour encourager les autres (well I think I got my French right?! LOL ) I've put a link on today's post for a "start your own blog" webpage. Come on in to the blogosphere - the water's lovely!

Good to see you ceridwen -hope all the 'hassles' you';ve got at the moment get sorted. Don't dwell on them too much (says she who constantly worries about delapidated abode)......concentrate on the more important things in life...........yourself for a start and some kind of cool and calm way of coping with it all (oh and if you find it will you let me know..............lol)

Today not such a good day for me.............think I maybe overdid the de-cluttering bit yesterday and much as I'm pleased with myself and everywhere looks better for it (still got a few things yet though) it's left me feeling a bit washed out. Desk is a heap again with todays mail (which just needs filing......simple job but not yet done!) letter from my friend (memo to self to phone her tonight) and dads collection of drumsticks currently waiting for a home.
What I just might do is sort out big bruvs photos and get them sent off -will get him 'out of my head' in a manner of speaking.
Loose change I found in Dads little box yesterday needs counting out in right coinage before I can change it for actual 'bigger' money if you know what I mean. Think I might do that as well................easy sitting down jobs with positive outcomes..............thats what I'm needing at the moment.

On the plus side, Mum apparently was very chatty on Monday when her friend went to see her............although she did think she'd been to Tescos (didn't buy anything she said) and also been back to her old house but didn't stay................then she rambled on about being moved from where she is to a different place. Difficult to know whether that was Mum rambling or whether someone in authority had thought Mum would be better off in a Nursing Home.Had all this the other year when she'd been ill but a Nursing Home couldn't offer her any better care than she's getting now so I said she was to stay put. The upheavel, plus change of staff would be too much for her. So, must check that out. I'd have thought if it was 'fact' as opposed to Mums ramblings someone would have contacted either me or big bruv. Or Mum just might have overheard the suggestion.
So, that part of it is a bit of a worry...........plus she was wanting me to go down soon as poss as she had something very important/urgent for me.............think thats just Mums way of 'controlling' me a bit. I'm going down in two weeks time by which time she'll have forgotten all about it no doubt.
Oh well, best to get on and do something positive with my day otherwise the 'guilt' factor will set in about 'wasting precious time'.

Ceridwen I just tried to log on to post on your blog and Google said it was incorrect password but I only set it up the other day and wrote it down so I know it's right. Ended up leaving it as 'anonymous'

Ellidee - I always go on as 'anonymous' then just pop my name on my post.

ceridwen - just had a look at one of the craft links...........some brilliant ideas on how to re-use stuff that we'd normally chuck out. I'm always trying to find an alternative use for things that are en route to the wheelie bin.........now I've got an answer.......well to some things anyway. I left a posting but put my name on the actual post so you'll know its me.

Well, I've sorted out big bruv photos now and just about to write to my nephew and ask him to take the to Spain with him when he goes in June.
Can't do with piccys of my bruv hanging around me till he comes back in
    August !
Not yet counted small bags of coinage so think I'll do that now.
Feeling a little bit more positive..........and even the suns shining now after a very wet afternoon...................:j

    Hello virtual friends:j
Well I have achieved something very simple today....I managed to send the small person in with an apple, some crisps and......half a pound of Edam for his lunch:D. It was in a very similar pot to his sandwich pot and the little tyke is still ribbing me:rotfl::rotfl:Perhaps I need to declutter all my recycled pots or label them more carefully for ease of identification:D
Very little in the way of sorting out going on here and have found out that perhaps I need to sort out some of my folders. I had to lay my hands on some old exam certificates at short notice yesterday which will hopefully gain me exemption from some of the units in the course I am about to start for work. They weren't where I thought they'd be:eek: Quick bit of deep breathing whilst OH came to the rescue -- they're stored in the loft in a folder called qualifications. Funny that!
