Been a very busy day today, went to work to clean and sort because the place is full of stuff that no one ever has time to sort through, taken 2 full large car loads to the tip, then came home and visited my parents then home, had a takeaway today as a treat for the bank holiday. Tomorrow I need to take youngest to the shop to get some teacher cards, then will visit my parents for a cuppa, need to iron, and going to put a lasagne in the slow cooker for tea so have got some mince out the freezer ready.

todays Pad was £1.42 but my mam does car boots and sells my stuff for me so she made us £40 which we have popped into the sealed tin which is for new house decorating.

have a jigsaw to finish to so might pop a few peices in here and there and also need to finish hand stripping our border terrier which I have started she looks very odd at the moment but she’s not keen so I just do her back a bit at a time and head and then I clip the rest of her which I have already done, we used to take her the groomers £50 a go twice a year but it was to traumatic for her and made her poorly for a week so I don’t bother now I’d rather she was happy then look good 😊

  • Wow you did have a busy day, I'm tired just reading what you did!!

You are doing amazingly well, I see you've changed your expected debt free date....I'm very sure you will achieve it. I haven't set a date yet as I know mine is just too far away and will maybe make me lose motivation rather than gain it.

@outoftheviciouscircle it’s been a very busy weekend but achieved a lot so I’m pleased with that.
Yes really hoping to have it gone now before we move into the new house so that’s my goal, my pay rise will hopefully make this achievable but we will see, many years ago we owed so much I never thought we get there, now I’m very impatient to get it gone! Keep going every pound paid is a pound less you owe that’s how i see it xx

Hi all, been a long day at work today and very busy so feel like I’ve not had 5 minutes, just having a bath and winding down for the day.
paid £100 to the sofa which is the normal monthly payment of £87.36 rounded up to £100 and also £50 to saving from u gov surveys as Mr J cashed out.
on the negative our kitchen tap has broken so had the plumber out who had temporarily fixed it but said we do need a new tap which he is going to get and pop back to fit at some stage, knowing the plumber as well as I do this may be weeks or never but while it’s fixed I won’t grumble.
only one more day to go before Mr J pay day and we can pay off some more to the sofa.
Currently on track to have this now paid off at the end of June.
Today the launch of the 100% mortgage has been announced for FTB in rented I do think this is a step in the right direction as so many people are paying high rents with no chance of savings the deposit so hopefully this will have a positive impact on the economy and the housing market and may calm the rental market slightly but we will soon see.

  • Looks like you had a good day yesterday, it will be so satisfying knowing one of the creditors has gone.

You don't realise how much you need a kitchen tap until you haven't got one. When we first moved in this house the plumber kept promising to come back and do the tap and we lived here for a week without one. Dishes in the bathroom, it was a nightmare.
