Not a good day yesterday, work was fine but no viewings for me, came home and having a bath and browsing social media to find that someone’s asked on the village page what it’s like to live on this road and then loads of people just start slagging it off comparing it to the bronx and all this even though they don’t even live here, so spent my bath crying and the rest of the night thinking 🤔 this is exactly why I didn’t want to put the house on because of all the people who look down on people like me….slept terrible because MR J snored all night so ended up in middle daughters bed (she’s not here) and now off to work again for another day of selling everyone else’s house 🏡
Mon a brighter note my PAD is £1.51
Also have asked my mortgage advisor to look into the options of changing this to a buy to let but to be honest I think if it doesn’t sell by august we will probably just stay here and then at least we would have a fair amount of spare money each month to treat the kids and save for a rainy day

Don't worry about the house. People are always having a go about the estate that I live on but I spent a lot of time here as a child and I knew that it was mostly OK. Houses go quickly here because a lot of people want to stay close to their family and also because landlords know that there will always be someone who wants to stay close to their family to rent to.2

I was going to ay the same as CRANKY40, a lot of people choose to stay nearer family these days and don't be disheartened, its early days yet. Our estate agent gave us access to something or other that showed how many views our house was getting on Rightmove..Do you have access to that with being an estate agent? It really is one of the most stressful live changes you can go through. so don't beat yourself up.
Have a good day.1 -
Thank you for your kind words @CRANKY40 and @outoftheviciouscircle I really do appreciate it, yes I can see how well it’s performing online, it’s doing ok 4th of what we have listed which is about 50 on the market so currently it’s doing ok, would just like to get some people through the door, I’ll give it a bit longer and then probably reduce the price to see of that helps a bit. It’s not a good week for me this week anyway so I’m a tad emotional 🥲 but have had a lovely 2 days at work so far so that’s been nice xxPay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

mondo morning woke up feeling bit more positive today, as much as I do want the new house I do love this house and have always been happy here, it’s not far from my Mam anyway so will give it a couple of months, then reduce and if no luck then will stay where we are and start over paying the mortgage as soon as the debts are gone. Need to keep motivated with paying the debt though as this type of thinking makes me think oh well if we arnt moving there is no rush then…..PAD is £1.60.Does anyone have a water meter? We don’t have one and water is now £47 a month there’s only the 3 of us now and I’m wondering if it’s worth changing to a meter also seriously considering cancelling TV licence literally never was TV only streaming sites or whatever like ITVx etc will give that some thought to have a good day xPay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

We are on a water meter, we pay £26 a month, its a no brainer for us as its just the 2 of us and I'm away Monday to Friday a lot of the year. Our rates would be £68 though. When I was home all the time the bills were £33.Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

yes I believe you can give it a try first so might be a saving for me, plus it would make us be more more aware of our water use and wastage.
on another note there’s been a lot going on! Got an offer yesterday of a promotion at work and an increase in salary to almost double what I earn now, then today I received and email about a job I applied for 3 weeks ago offering me and interview! You couldn’t write it could you really! Then this morning I had a chat with our financial advisor about putting this on a buy to let, only to then get a call from work (day off) with a viewing! And an hour later an offer of £92000 which we have accepted! Cash buyer nothing to sell to! Long way to go yet but it’s looking good and I’ll take that for now.
on the job front I think I will take the promotion it’s management position but I love the people I work with they are my family and it’s money I can’t turn down with the move on, the other role is different entirely as I was thinking about changing career (teaching assistant) and I did love that when I went into school to volunteer I just love the little ones, but I think in reality the promotion works better for me xxPay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest
