  • You will be fine. I've had all these worries every time I've moved house.
Just as you have a particular reason for wanting to your dream house there is probably someone out there that thinks your house is their dream house.
Have you got a decision in principle yet to know your options? You may be surprised, especially if you stay with the same lender. Are you looking to borrow more or are you downsizing?
Sorry, I'm so nosy, as you can probably tell, I love moving house.

@outoftheviciouscircle I hate moving house made even worse by the fact that I’m an estate agent 😂 yes we have DIP and have spoken to our IfA we do have the option to put this to a buy to let if we don’t sell but I’m not fully comfortable with having 2 houses to maintain, the one we are buying means a bigger mortgage we owe £58,000 on ours and hope to sell for £95,000 and the one we want is £165,000 so we will be doubling our mortgage which at 43 definitely worries me but I realise to some a mortgage of £135,000 is quite small, my youngest daughter doesn’t want to move and is quite sad about it, she has made a video thing yesterday of all her memories in this house so that broke my heart! But I need to think she won’t be living here forever and this house offers us everything I would want as I get older and as my parents age to, we had a neighbour a couple of years ago who never put her bin out she just threw the bags into the back garden, with 6 children you can imagine the amount of rubbish out there after 2 years, god it was awful there was rats 🐀 and the flies where horrific the housing association (council) took ages to get her out, shouting and screaming all hours, we have lovely neighbours now but I’m aware of one of them decided to move whoever I get next may have an impact on us selling and also our life, so I will power on with the plan and if it turns out to be the wrong decision well then I’ll make the best of it anyway, my husband really wants this and he’s working so many hours to pay off this bit of debt 💸
my boss comes this morning to do the photos so I will run round soon sticking all the crap under the stairs and in the drawers out the way so it looks as good as is can, hope everyone has a lovely Friday, £1 to PAD today was all I could muster xx

Thank you @outoftheviciouscircle I’ll only be giving it 6 months if it doesn’t sell it wasn’t meant to be. So we will see how it goes I’d be happy to stay and be richer haha 😂
Today was £1 PAD but husband got a £10 referral from sim only deal and once that hits the account I’ll pay that off the sofa to, work was pretty quiet today I think most people where enjoy the sun and also the last few days of the school holidays back to normal Monday.
tomorrow I will take middle daughter to train station back to her flat and get job in a school Monday, need to make flapjack and soup butternut squash I think which is simple and easy.
I’ll check in again tomorrow no doubt with my £1 😂

Thank you! I feel like I’m focused and really trying not to spend anything unless necessary although that’s always easier said that done! Todays it’s £15.90 on ink for the printer, also need to find £75 for daughters prom dress to be altered, and £62 for the car to get her there, man it’s ridiculous! I’m glad she’s my last one!
not much on today just walked the dog dropping middle daughter at train station shortly then home to do some batch cooking, house is pretty tidy and clean still, no viewings yet (I know it’s been one day) started worrying it won’t sell and working the figures to know what the minimum is we can sell for we paid £86000 17 years ago and I really don’t want to sell for less than this, most people have made thousands on their properties in that time 😔

  • All these are natural worries when you move, I'm sure you are used to other people calling you up with all these worries lol.

On our last house, we bought it in December 2019 for £217,000 and sold it in August 2022 for £308,000. We ended up using the equity to completely gut the house we are in now.

Oh absolutely and it is truly an awful time when you’re trying to sell with no interest xx you see why can’t that have happened to me! At most I’ll probably just break even but it’s been better than renting with nothing to show for it in my opinion xx
