i have deleted my post after the last post went up saying the offer might be real, didn't want to put up info that may be false.2 -

Interesting, looks legit, are you a fairly new FD customer? Spotted another spelling mistake 'recieve' 🤔
Could be for fairly recent account holders, tempting them to stay long term
I was only saying to my OH the other day, FD haven't given us anything really in many many years of banking with them. We've both got accounts, a joint one too and a credit card.
More recently Lloyds (I think) gave me an incentive just to switch into an existing account with them and I hardly use that account, just for the club Lloyds freebies.1 -
Yes myself, husband and brother-in-law have received the same emails. We've only got a joint account so will only switch 1 account into it, as normally you only can get 1 incentive for switching into a joint.0

Brewer21 saidI was thinking more like a scam, why have to update the app to get this to show up?We've also introduced a current account switching journey, making it simple to switch your current account provider to us. All you need to do is complete a few easy steps, just head to 'transaction list' and select the account menu option to 'switch to us'.1

I got the email and I switched to FD for the incentive and since then have only really been funding it for the 7% RS. Could that be the sort of account they are targeting?0

I received this e-mail this afternoon as well. I was out and about, though, so haven't looked at the T&Cs or the app but basically it looks like I have 30 days to initiate a switch.
For context, I have been with FD for about 15 years, during which time I've had all my salary paid into there and all my DDs paid out of there. So I was a bit confused to receive an offer to switch to them to use them as my main bank. But if they want to give me £75, I'm not correcting them, LOL.
As another poster said, FD give us next to nothing and their savings products have never been competitive (I'm not counting the regular saver because you have to drip feed in over 12 months). I've noticed that even though they were pioneers of non-branch banking when they started, they lag way behind everyone else now. For example, my bf is with Halifax and gets push notifications for whatever he wants - I get none, and I would like them.
Ironically, this morning I had had enough of them and was planning to switch away! It's like they read my mind...
I'm gonna switch and ditch!

I too have been with FD for years & years but not recieved an email with this offer. Will see if comes through in next few days 🙄0 -
The app doesn't update for me and having checked it I have the latest version anyway 4.19.
So like has been said, selecting customers for this incentive it seems. Still oddif you have to update to the latest version and I have the latest version.
If it's giving something back to the customer then all they are giving me is the incentive to just move on elsewhere.0
