First Direct £75 switch open to all?

Just received an email from FD about a seemingly free £75 switch incentive. No apparent restrictions other than it just be from non HSBC account. No mention of previous rewards for switches being excluded.

    Interesting.  Though I'm guessing this is for existing FD account holders only (as that's the only way you can see the offer) and may well be targeted i.e not available to all.

    I would tread carefully with this,  via email, nothing came up on my app. Ok I've not updated and it doesn't say an update is available,  but why update for this for just certain customers? 🤔

  • Yes it could just be targeted marketing as my wife hasn’t had the email. 

    Check your emails in any case over the coming days.

    won't be a scam if it all happens via the FD app.

    I believe the offer is genuine, I contacted their social media team the other day about an issue and they actually mentioned the £75 existing customer switch offer to me. I couldn't find any details on the app, but they told me it was a new offer and if I phone customer services after the switch goes through, they will ensure the £75 is credited.

    Today I also received the email.
  • The 1 in £751 is a a superscript in the email. It’s genuine.
