NSD No 3
No adventures here today. I think my little sojourn into the fresh air yesterday was beneficial but tiring. I went to sleep early, slept all through the night and didn't wake up till just before 10.00am this morning. Still I've had a nice relaxing day today.
Hope to get out tomorrow and get a few chores done housewise. xx
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Thank you all for your holiday wishes. As you can imagine, I've not clocked up any NSDs yet! We are packing sandwiches to take with us on our exploring though, & buying things from a supermarket to cook at night. Today we went on the funicular train up the mountain, walked around LOADS, then walked back down again. Did treat us to an ice cream & bought a few souvenirs/presents to take home. Think all the shops are closed Thurs & Fri for Easter weekend. Had suntan lotion on, but still think I've caught the sun. Absolutely shattered tonight, so DH cooking tea, then it'll be an early night.
Grateful for beautiful scenery, nice weather, a helpful friend

No adventures here today, just cleaning the house and doing laundry in anticipation of going away. All kids now have a suitcase to fill.Ice cream of the 0atly caramel variety (£1 a pot in the Wading Bird Store instead of £3.50 in the supermarket) consumed. Really lovely chilli made for supper, I made enough for 2 meals, and the rotters ate the lot, even after I told them it was supposed to be 2 meals. Oh well, it used up a lot of things from the fridge. So mission accomplished, in a round about way.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for the trees budding outside the windows of my classroom, for dc having a good time out with a friend, for having a happy liddle shop, for a good gym session, for finding a cool wide leather buckle bracelet in a ch shop.

DS3 came up to go to bed just before the delivery period for the pills started (I was ready but had put moisturiser on my poor tired feet and didn't want to go down until it dried). Sat on the couch reading and wanting to be back in bed. Chopped a few vegetables but there are more to do. Pills arrived, I put a meal in the microwave and went out to the bins with 2 bin bags full of rubbish (one from the kitchen and one from the front room - half filled when I did my marathon clean up and have been adding bits ever since). Picked up a few more bits in the kitchen and took one bah outside and added the sweepings from the path. When I broke up the damaged planters, I binned all the larger pieces but there were little scraps and other bits of rubbish left and it's never been consistently dry for long enough to be able to sweep it up.
Did the mid cook stirring and then went back with a large sack of paper which had to be opened and added to the bin one piece at a time. Three bricks put on top and the level dropped by about a foot (I have at least 5 largish boxes to add yet). Ate my food, spent about an hour looking at clothes (my needs are simple, clothes websites are not - very frustrating when I go through half a dozen filters then find my size is out of stock). I came back upstairs at 2.30 pm (laptop needed charging.I needed my mid-day pill and wanted a nap.
Went back down about 6 pm, put wedges and fish in the oven and spent the half hour cooking time, measuring my back wall so that I can work out where I need posts to support the trellis. Ate my meal and then did a stock check of the under stairs cupboards and the little shelves in my corner and the dishwasher corner. Only rough numbers in some cases (the far end of under the stairs, I wasn't going that far away from my chair). Back upstairs and I have read through one of the cook books I bought in the charity book shop. Some good ideas, some things I more or less know how to do (but it's been a while), some things I've never done and some I will adapt. Made me hungry so I've had 2 hot cross buns (I froze 6 for Friday this morning).
Stock check ran to 4 pages so tomorrow or Thursday I'll get on with that (probably lots of salads as the freezers are full - things need to come out before I can batch cook and freeze. I also want to strip the bed (only the duvet needing to be washed now) and have another go at the stains (including the one that happened just after I'd finished cleaning it last time)
Grateful for getting things done when I didn't feel like doing anything, for finding easier ways of doing the tasks and for hot cross buns.7 -
A very late check-in. I have 1 NSD so far for the month, but there is lots of food in the house and I have no plans to spend anything for a few days!
Day off tomorrow and a very long list of things to do- including starting decorating another room, the furniture is all shifted so it's ready to just get on with it in the morning.
Grateful today for colleagues who are friends, cake and decent amounts of interest accumulating on not particularly large amounts of savings.10 -
Still on NSD 1. Today has ended with a relative very seriously ill in hospital, following rare complications from a normally straightforward process. Dinner for 3 from hospital canteen and a constant stream of hot drinks from the vending machine. We have all things crossed that they stabilise overnight.
Prior to this, day went well. Reverted to s healthier breakfast and morning routine, set up home office treadmill and used it for about 9000 steps during morning meetings, and made it to 1 and a half exercise classes before things took a turn for the worse.
Grateful for the NHS, dedication of the doctors and nurses and cleaners and HCA we saw today.

Happy holidays @Thrifty_TaylorI’m only on NSD 1. Booked some flights yesterday to UK for a friend’s engagement party so lost my NSD. Will probably need to book more flights today for summer. Saw a very interesting property for sale yesterday (only on an app but it’s not often I find something in my budget) which has refuelled my optimism for being able to afford something in the not too distant future….
grateful for it being the last day of work before Easter hols, for hearing from an old friend, for managing to motivate myself to sign up for an extra gym class and for feeling excited and enthusiastic for the future (and also for the now!)Student loan £5655

Sorry for slight slow start to month, have just waved off adult boys to go on trip to the us with their dad on a family visit. It's all baseball caps and sunscreen packed for the sunshine state. I have been a bit involved as they always stay at mine these days! For me it is 10 days of relative freedom, a bit of work, a bit of friends and time to have a bit of a status on life in general.
Happy Wednesday everybody.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Despite the rainy weather went for a little trip to Aldi to take advantage of their cheap veg. Bought some more plants whilst we were there. Extravagant, I know.
Got a few jobs done and decluttered an enormous amount of empty boxes. Where do they all come from?
Early to bed, I think.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10
