2 kids off school on strike - 1 in college because 1 of his 3 teachers is not on strike (managed not to make any kind of 'dangerous lefty statements' at supper last night, did not mention 'withdrawal of labour' nor 'collective bargaining' nor 'collegiality' because they would repeat everything I said, and the school already have the impression I might be a nutter (9 years in, minimum of 3 left)DH waved off on an Impact Study blah blah something or other, very important blah blah day, he did not want to go, he left with 'first day at big school' vibes. Poor thing. I've had a bit it of a lazy day but very enjoyable. Half watching TV whilst chatting to Himself.
Payday for me tomorrow and I've sorted out all my banking. Looking OK.
The Boy coming to visit in a little bit. We'll have a Chinese take away. It's a little bit extravagant but we started to do it when I wasn't able to cook and we enjoy it so why not? So long as it's affordable.
Quite excited about getting my hair done tomorrow. Hasn't been done since December. I'll be a different and happy woman. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
Grateful today for a potluck lunch in the office, interesting training on ‘dignity at work’ and some food for thought, seeing a colleague for first time in years because Covid happened and then she was on maternity leave, for regaining access to my V!ntD account meaning I can start selling again, and for OH picking up on my rudderlessness and helping me make a plan for tomorrow and also for him making dinner.

@f0xh0les hopefully payday is tomorrow.
Productive evening. Decluttered the plastic tubs shelf and only stored tubs that have a lid with the lid on as it was annoying me so bad. We had two baskets with random tubs and two baskets with lids. Only less that half actually found a partner. Also decluttered my wardrobe more stringently, two bags of donations, one bin bag and filled a box with "time will tell" items.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/258 -

Today I am grateful that my new-to-me moley thingy is in reality a warty thingy and quite benign, for not having to be out in the heavy rain, for a friend + child popping over so dc and I both had company this evening, for dinner taking all of 4 mins in the microwave plus a sprinkling of grated cheese, for the aforementioned friend bring a biiiig bag of wools for me 😀.

Evening turtles. Forgot to post yesterday as hate a late gym session followed by pilates but it was a NSD - 15 for the month so far including that one. Not much to report for yesterday, was dealing with an emergency at work that kept me busy and out of trouble!
Said emergency carried on today so I spent most of my day in meetings and driving to Kent to do a visit... however today I did spend as I'd run the cupboards down so low I had nothing for lunch for the first time in months! All I had was a bread roll and butter to put in it which I definitely didn't fancy so I bought a cheap pasta pot and a coffee today. Shopping delivery also came so lunch is definitely sorted for tomorrow! Could barely shut the fridge so have a lot of meal prep to be getting on with over the weekend.

2 NSDs so I'm on 15 NSDs and I have month left over! Pay day happened today and some money has been shifted to savings.
Some plotting and planning going on, but no definite decisions yet.
Nothing much to actually report just work and general day-to-day routine.8 -
Happy Friday turtles!Yesterday was NSD 9. Had a pretty productive day at work, went to my gym class a bit early and did some stretches and skipping to make up for fewer workouts this week. Got paid and my automatic payment to savings came out.Bf made a sort of aubergine parmigiana for dinner to use stuff up. We’ve done a good job of meal planning this week.Grateful for bf sleeping on the sofa so I could get a good rest, for it being Friday, for going to see the tennis tonightStudent loan £5655

Did yoga before breakfast. Was dreading work after the day I'd had on Wednesday, but it actually all went ok, phew!
The rain started @lunchtime & continued for the rest of the day, so didn't go for a walk with my friend. On the way home, I had some pain in my arm & pins & needles in my hand. As I've been feeling some squeezing in my chest on & off for the past few months, I thought I'd phone NHS24, who's machine told me to phone my Dr, whilst receptionist told me to phone 999! So in the end, I drove to hospital & spent a couple of hours being tested. Pronounced I was ok, but still to keep Dr appointment for next week. Stopped in L1dl & managed to get a water butt, only 1 left afterwards, so wouldn't have been any on Saturday when I go shopping.
Spoke to an external colleague & also did a facetime with my cousin who has cancer. He doesn't phone often, but my phone had rang in the hospital, so phoned once I'd got home.
Absolutely shattered, took ages for my turn in the bath, was glad to get into bed.
Grateful for being ok, work being better & chat with my cousin, also DS3's GF feeling strong enough to tell more people what's happened to herUse it up, wear it out
