    Hell, yes!
It will stop soon enough. Either the provider or the old owner will notice. Just don't buy anything extra.

If this is a question by a real person why can't they sign on to the forum and ask it themselves rather than having it given a pseudo-official status by MSE? The answer, of course, is that as always the question has a blindingly obvious moral answer that doesn't take any thought at all to give and is just a waste of everybody's time.
You have a very strange notion of morality if you think everyone shares the same moral code as you and that morality is "blindingly obvious". Just a casual glace though just the first page of these responses shows wildly differing moral takes on this question.
  • Personally, I wouldn't use them, especially as you already know those accounts aren't in your name. You would be done for fraud if you get caught, and you'll have a criminal record!

Only use them for programmes you particularly want to see.

Of course it is wrong to do so!
You should feel embarrassed that you needed to ask!
Or maybe you feel quite at ease with being dishonest!

Ignore all the "it's fraud" which it isn't and all the other pathetic "it's wrong you won't go to heaven!".
As long as the other person isn't paying extra carry on.
If it was my streaming service and I made the same mistake I wouldn't care one iota, why would if I haven't paid extra.
The police can't do you for anything,  that's if they were prepared to waste there time investigating in the first place. Which they definitely wouldn't.
Enjoy your freebie while it's available.

As long as you don’t buy additional services or help yourself to fridge items, I’m sure this will be ok.
I agree. Although he's not in the original owners house, so not really possible to eat his fridge items.

I personally would log out and reset the TV.  Dont want or need anyone elses settings or subscriptions.

But I'm not gonna castigate the OP on this one.

A friend of mine watched some streaming service this way for many many months.  It didn't bother him.  Dont know if it has stopped.  Will have to ask him

You're taking advantage of someone with poor digital skills - how would you feel if that was your older relative and someone would use their account without contributing?
Why does it have to be an older relative? Anybody can have poor digital skills. I don't and yet I'm considered 'older'. We older persons really do have a very bad press where IT (and many other things now I come to think about it) is concerned but I wish it would end. Most of us do still have our marbles, thank goodness.

Of course you shouldn't I don't now why you have to even ask.
There are several reasons the tv could be in the charity shop the worst that the owner died. How would you feel when you noticed that the services were still being used.
Erm, colour me purple but if the previous owner had died then their account would get cancelled so there wouldn’t be a dilemma. I think you’re being a tad ridiculous.
