Hi,
I have received a claim form from DCB legal issued 20th March for the County Court Business Centre Northampton. I have just started to panic and don't know what to do. I sent off for a SAR request and sent the email to DCB legal asking for 30 days which ended on the 13th March but thought I would receive another letter from them first. Can someone please help with what to do as I am stressing so much now.
Thanks

You cannot request a 30-day delay to a Claim, only to an LoC.
You are now at Claim stage and need to file the AoS and prepare your Defence. Everything is explained in the Newbies/FAQ thread near the top of this forum and you need to read the second post which covers your situation. DO NOT just skin-read that thread. Read, re-read and read again until you understand the process and the steps you need to take.
@KeithP will be along soon and will post some important deadlines you need to keep.1 -
Yes, sorry I received an LoC in Feb and asked for 30 day delay which ended on 13th March. I have been on moneyclaim and completed the AoS and will start preparing my defence. Sorry I panicked and got very stressed.0

OK. So you study the Newbies/FAQ thread, second post as advised and start preparing your defence. DO NOT use the MCOL for filing your defence. Do not put even a full stop in that defence box.
Assuming that the DCB legal bottom-dwellers are acting for UKPC, you may want to have a read of this thread to see the predicted outcome of this Claim:DCB LEGAL RECORD OF PRIVATE PARKING COURT CLAIM DISCONTINUATIONS

As @B789 says, you need to study the Newbies, and enough to actually understand where you are and what the next steps are. Make sure you find the template defence too. What exactly is the contravention you are accused of?The pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.2

With a Claim Issue Date of 20th March, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service on 24th March, you have until 4pm on Friday 21st April 2023 to file your Defence.
That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.3 -
I am accused of - The PCN(s) was issued on private land owned or managed by C. The vehicle was parked in breach of the Terms on Cs signs.
Basically, I had parked on the road near work on an industrial estate at 10 at night and was given a ticket at 1:30 in the morning, this happened in Feb 2022.
What do I do regarding evidence i.e. pictures etc? The incident occurred in Leamington Spa and I live near Liverpool, if I need to get pictures of the place its a 244 mile round trip and would take over 4 hours, would I be able to submit that as costs when making completing my witness statement?0 -
No costs for that. Use Google Streetview but that's months away!
Please confirm the date you filed an Acknowledgment of Service.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
