Something doesn't sound right. Getting daily calls from Eon -  probably not - but perhaps a debt collector ?

Could you (or your son) post a copy of your bill - blanking out the personal info - please

Yes - that was my feeling too - this is going to be someone calling allegedly "on behalf of" and could well be a fishing trip. This is the reason for telling them to address anything further in writing - a DCA MUST listen to an individual telling them that they will not accept contact by telephone. It also makes it far easier to get everything in place and to know precisely what is being claimed/said - phone calls can be dangerous in relation to debt. In real terms a debt can only be officially chased in writing anyway so phone calls are meaningless.

That shows that you owe £2,911.87, the majority which is from previous bills, which is why they are chasing you for that amount. If you only pay the £70.72 that does nothing to clear down the historical debt.

They are not estimating your debt, they are estimating your annual usage, which they are required by Ofgem to put on your bill.

How long have you lived in the property and did you submit meeting readings, or ensure the first readings matched your first bill,   when you moved in and registered with EON?
  • Sorry if this has already been asked/answered.

How do you actually pay your bills? Could it be that you are paying the monthly usage but these payments are not being applied to your account?

@jasone7160   To emphasise the above - that £70.72 is only what you have used that month - it's not what you owe.

Can you also post the other page which shows the meter readings
