Okay, so for clarity (and please correct me if I'm wrong!):

As someone who was on Agile pre December, my standing charge will now be fixed for 12 months (whereas previously it was variable), and has increased by 5p per day in my case (London).

    That's right?

If so, still saving considerably over a fixed rate tariff, shrug.

To be exact, not now but from 15th Feb
Shortly speaking your bill will be £1.50 more expensive (30 days x 5p increase).

Very interesting prices coming in tomorrow - get ready for a negative night!
  • A long time tracker customer of Octopus and I’ve just signed up to Agile. I was going to load shift the car for a period of two weeks just to be sure but I can see that on the three days recently where I charged it during the early hours that it’s a decent saving.

You can see the days where i don’t charge the car, they would work out more expensive but the savings for the car outweigh this.

only think that isn’t clear is what happens to my gas - does that stay on the tracker?

Yes, your gas should stay on Tracker.
Do check, and if they've switched you to Flexible in error make sure they switch you back.

Thanks. Wow they’ve already switched me to Agile. Gas is showing as tracker still :)

We have negative pricing tonight so have scheduled the car to charge then!

Nordpool changed a website, here's new link:

Cheapish night coming and then dozens of boring days  :D
  • Forgive me if I'm wrong but I don't think I've seen any mention round these parts of Wonder Watt - automated charging of Growatt and GivEnergy batteries based on either weather forecast or Agile prices. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and I've found it very useful. No need to set charging slots manually at all, but you can still tweak if you want.
