Anyone know why it's no longer the early hours of the morning when the rates are the cheapest? I used to run the dw overnight but now it's cheaper to run after lunch.

Likely to be due to solar PV producing electricity during these long sunny June days (nevermind that ots been overcast here all day).

Here's the chart from Electric Insights for the Sunday just gone, for example:

The big yellow hump in the middle of the day is solar PV.
(Other bands - nuclear green, biomass amber, imports (mostly French nuclear) red, wind blue, gas purple. The two thin bands that come and go between imports and wind is hydroelectric & pumped storage.)
