It will be very interesting to see what the prices end up being overnight and through the day on Sunday - Predict currently has mostly 6/7p, ncms.org/ukgrid suggests that they should be substantially lower than that, and with the reduction factored in too…

Nice 3.5 hour period of plunge pricing, tomorrow afternoon. A steady almost minus 4p, here.

We're away and won't be able to make use of it! Or Sunday, which looks like it'll be an incredible day. <sigh> Enjoy it, everyone!

Yep, and having been sensible today and took advantage of sub 1p prices my car was topped up to 100%. Drat! ;-)

Still, a bit of V2L this evening and some errands tomorrow and I might have a bit of space..

Not much room in my car. I may have to go for a small jaunt. Got some bedding to wash, though.

Our garden office is currently where some of our seedlings are living. I suspect tomorrow we may have to take them out, because with all the heating on in there, it will reach tropical temps! Already planning exactly how I can shoehorn several loads of washing in during the negatives!

It will be interesting to see how Sunday pans out - predict clearly hasn’t got the hang of the reductions for the budget savings at all, and looking at the graphs, it does indeed look like it could be spectacularly cheap.

The new version of Octopus Compare is an improvement in one way over V 1 in that it gives upcoming rates much further on.than the Octopus app at 10. 17 pm.Friday night .It's now showing half hour rates to l0.30 pm.Saturday night .

worth keeping on just for the advanced warning of the half hour rates

It may be heresy to say this on this of all forums but I'm coming round to the view that it isn't worth busting a gut / enduring sleepless nights just for the sake of a 1 or 2 p / kWh saving. When there are other tariffs available offering "acceptable" but not headline grabbing rates without the 24/7 sweat and toil of keeping ahead of the pack. May I be forgiven for saying so.
