That was how I did mine - they came back inside an hour or so and the change was already showing on my account so all very easy. It backdates to the start of the day too.

Flexible for us for couple of months, moving house by May anyway so no point fixing. Good to see the unit rate and standing charge are a few pence cheaper where we're moving to, I think it is particularly pricey here for some reason.

The fixes have no exit fees with Octopus just in case you didn't know that

thanks, I checked, more just laziness on my part, the current fix here is the same rate as flexible and I don't want to change my gas so i can just click a button to go on flexible but not the fix

  • I've jumped on the Cosy bandwagon for the immediate future as my Agile SC fix was up before the end of the month anyway - Nice to see they've officially relaxed the eligibility criteria to allow electric boilers/radiators as well (I don't believe the heat pump requirement was too thoroughly enforced in any case).

Will likely return to Agile later on once prices calm down again, but at current rates it's not worth sticking with for me on the higher SC.
    Moo…

I lost my historical data under Octopus/MyAccount/MyEnergy when I switched to another provider for my electricity, do you lose it if you stay with Octopus but switch to another Octopus tariff such as cosy?

My switch to Economy 7 with its reprogramming of the meter has happened overnight, so I'm already reaping the benefits of a cheaper charge of the batteries in the early hours.  Looks like I'll be back to doing washing and dishwasher overnight, at least until the sun starts to shine again. OH has been primed to take the sheets out of the washer and stick them in the TD when he gets up at 6am tomorrow.
