I'm wondering if Tracker 2024 might turn out to be the least worse option when my Dec 23 v 1 contract finishes in a few days time. Full circle thinking. No EV, lowish consumption, solars but no battery storage. Limited scope for load shifting. I have been shadowing Agile for some time but now I'm not so sure. Deserting Octopus would be a major decisionTelegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know0 -
I’m considering moving onto Cosy in a few days time when my Agile tariff ends, given that if I say on Agile the SC goes up quite a bit. At least Cosy would give me guaranteed low slots to do the heavy lifting like charging the car etc.
I believe I’m right in saying that as that’s still a smart tariff I could after 30 days move back to Agile? Or would I be stuck for a year not being able to go back if the market conditions change?0 -

I moved our tariff from Agile to Cosy on 2nd Jan and have saved £110 even with the increased SC but we don't have an EV. If we did and did sufficient mileage then GO might be better. I know many suggest joining it illegally, lying that they have an EV to Octopus when they sign up. Same as Cosy I have seen that as well people joining without a heat pump.(Albeit there are exceptions there for electric boilers/electric heating) but you legally have the choice of both.0 -

Took the plunge and moved to Cosy yesterday, it was done same day! I expect I’ll be back to Agile once the conditions change though 😊0

For us the move has to allow us to achieve under 17p kwh average per day on Agile.0 -
Looks like gas is not going to give us a breather this week, needs wind to take up the slack from the gas power plants.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy1

I'm starting to think I should move back to Flux. While Octopus Compare still says I'm doing (mostly) better on Agile, it isn't set up to take into account that (almost) all my import would be in the 15p slots on Flux whereas they are often in what would be the day rate slots. However, Agile does tend to offer me better options for running the DW, WM and TD on longer cycles. It's not an easy decision.0

I've bitten the bullet and asked to move onto Economy 7 from Agile. Should take a couple of weeks for the meter to be re-programmed to be dual rate, but that 7 hour charging window overnight at 13.52p is a better option for us than trying to find 3 cheap slots overnight to progamme the battery to. Our inverter limits us to 3 slots at a time. Should have done it weeks ago. On a grey day we can get by on the capacity of our battery.Has anybody swapped from an Economy 7 setup to Agile? How long did that take to go the other way?Make £2025 in 2025
