Makes today's high rates look positively cheap!  Thank goodness we've got the batteries.

2pm - 8.30pm tomorrow is well over SVT.  Don't think I've experienced this on Agile before.

Must remember to take the rough with the smooth
I think there was a couple of days in late November last year that a similar pattern with peak above 70p, but it didn't last long.

Given the amount of money I saved by being on Agile in the last year, I can afford to take some losses.  Even then, on the days when I charge an EV I am still making a saving compared to the cap and/or the day tracker rate.

There were 3 days in the last 30 days when my electricity cost more than Flexible Octopus, and on all 3 of those days I didn't use much power and the difference was less than 10p each time.  On the other hand there were lots of days when I saved a lot more than 10p.  I expect today and tomorrow to be expensive but I'll stick with it unless we get this pricing for more than a few weeks (and if that's the case, I don't want to see what the next price cap in January will look like!).

I've chosen 12 month fixed October 24 as the comparable tariff.  I only have Flexible April 24 listed but surely there's a newer Flexible tariff now?

If I'm below 25p kWh average for the day, then I'm fine

Stealth mode is my 25W monitor on, connected to chromebook on the battery, and everything else turned off for four or five hours during peak today, tomorrow may be harder to win out on.

Similar to me. If my average is under 21p I'll be happy. Old tariff was c 21p off peak.
PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)

Are you sat in the dark too? That would be too extreme surely?

Peaks of 89p in Mersey region tomorrow.  Glad I stuck with a gas hob rather than induction when we redid the kitchen 5 years ago.

Will avoid the oven and carry on as normal.

LED bulbs mostly 1W but have a usb light on the computer as well, plus a couple of dewalt battery powered LED's... so have one 1W bulb on in the lounge so it looks like someone is at home and the usb light at the moment, no hardship at all and gives better definition to the 32 inch monitor. If I am fiddling with something the Dewalt LED is used, normally would have a couple of the main lights on at 1W each, but every little helps. I could turn the monitor off and just use the laptop screen instead but that would degrade my quality of life. I won't do this for more than a few days, though, if it carries on will have to switch tariff. The UK is greyed out but there is wind so not sure why the tariffs are so high unless everyone is turning everything on to cheer themselves up, probably shows how precarious our reliance on green stuff actually is and having annoyed Mr Telsa he won't be covering the countryside with battery farms.

Mersey Cheshire here too. I wanted a gas hob again when we move, this is making me even more sure of that.

It's just the weather system it'll go away soon

We were going to swap to induction but kept the gas hob when the price of electric started to increase massively. I'm glad we did, it means we have options when the price is high.
