Only willing to pay the current electric bill because I stopped paying the TV licence fee so overall fixed costs have remained the same, just.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Octopus themselves also offer help, waiving standing charge for several months for example. I started looking into it for someone else but it needed your budget entering and so I stopped because it was on my account not theirs, but there is help available from different places - also discretionary payments from the council.1

I moved to IOG last night, so this is my first full day, will be interesting to see what savings over Agile I've managed as I've made good use of the 7p rate4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.1

"Have you done the benefits checker to be sure you are getting anything you qualify for? If your income is so low that you are having to go without heating and now consider ceasing using energy at all it seems likely that you would be a candidate for various help. The benefits board has some very knowledgeable folk who would be pleased to help you look into it. "
Nothing to do with my income, all to do with refusing to be ripped off by cartel-like companies...1 -

I get 7p/kWh 11.30pm until 5.30am then if I plug my car in at 8am and request 20% charge I get another 1.5hrs at 7p/kWh
Quite useful of you have the right charger/car as the rate applies to the whole house4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.0 -

I don't understand, why do you get another 1.5 hours at 7p just for charging your car in at 8am?
Is it the time or something else?

You can also set a ready by time of 4am and it will give you early afternoon slots.
The rate only applies if the car is actively charging though, if you can limit charge rate via the car, it will give you more slots to ensure you get the percentage you requested4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.1 -
