It will hit £1. The only good point is it can't get any worse 😅la531983 said:It's going to be even worse tomorrow...
But as Agile tariff should be - make most of the lows and avoid highs, these are the highs I would definitely leave the house and go for a walk! Luckily its a short period, I'd prefer 2h at 100p rather than whole day at 35p 😅2 -
Same - particularly as it's two hours when I'm not in. Unless the cat has figured out how to turn on the oven - in which case I've got bigger problems...Newbie_John said:

My system is planning to charge to 100% shortly at c 23p per kWh (currently at 80%)
It's estimating finishing the day at 71p including the standing charge, so it's not too bad.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0 -
Replying to my own post here, it's also worth noting that for the last rolling 7 day period, "shifted" Octopus Go would have been cheaper for me than Agile, Tracker or Flexible. (shifted is a function in Octopus compare that allows you to shift peaks above xkw in a 30 minute period to the cheap hours for that tariff). In fact, even without shifting turned on, Go would have been cheaper.Pat38493 said:
I think there was a couple of days in late November last year that a similar pattern with peak above 70p, but it didn't last long.RavingMad said:2pm - 8.30pm tomorrow is well over SVT. Don't think I've experienced this on Agile before.
Must remember to take the rough with the smooth
Given the amount of money I saved by being on Agile in the last year, I can afford to take some losses. Even then, on the days when I charge an EV I am still making a saving compared to the cap and/or the day tracker rate.
There were 3 days in the last 30 days when my electricity cost more than Flexible Octopus, and on all 3 of those days I didn't use much power and the difference was less than 10p each time. On the other hand there were lots of days when I saved a lot more than 10p. I expect today and tomorrow to be expensive but I'll stick with it unless we get this pricing for more than a few weeks (and if that's the case, I don't want to see what the next price cap in January will look like!).
However, for all periods before that Agile was my cheapest option and I saved £520 versus Octopus Go in the last year, so I am sticking with it for now.
