I've just had exactly the same as you. I thought 3% for a 20 month MT was good. Worth stoozing at current interest rates.
I never take any of their offers, as my Barclaycard gives cashback and I put most of my spending through it.1 -
Barclaycard
0% Balance Transfer, 15 months, 3.4% transfer fee
0% Money Transfer, 12 months, 2.6% transfer fee
Halifax
5.9% Balance and Money Transfer, 24 months, no fee.
Tesco
No offers#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660 -
And now Virgin CC is offering stoozing options with their rates. Not taking for now, as I'm close to killing off the balance on the current 0% dealFor both balance transfer and money transfer they're offering 0% interest until June 2024 at a fee of 2.5%1

Wow, those are pretty good offers for Barclaycard MT and Virgin MT.
WIth BC transfer of just 7000, you could make something over £250 net profit, at current savings rates for 18 months.

I also have a Barclaycard BT offer for 0% until 1 Apr 2025, 2.9% fee, but no MT offer. Seems like they don't want to give me a new MT offer since I took the last one. I kept spending on the card and then only paid off what I spent each month (the amount I spent was always just a bit above minimum payment amount), and they got scared and eventually reduced my credit limit, so my utilisation went over 90%. I stopped spending anything and just paid off the balance, but I still can't increase my limit back where it was, and no MT offers.
I have the same Lloyds and Halifax MT offers as everyone else - 5.9% for 24 months, and also 4% fee for 12 months at 0%, which is pretty poor compared to BC and Virgin offers mentioned above.

I assume you have the same 0.25% cashback as I do.Let's say you transfer £10,000 from Barclaycard to a fixed saver for 18 months. That's £300 one-off fee and then £679 earned in interest. Net profit £379 after 18 months while you could keep using another card with a cashback during that period. To make the same £379 net profit form cashback, you need to spend a little over £8,400 per month on average, or just over 150k in 18 months. Spending the same amount on Chase debit would yield you a £1,500 cashback in 18 months (if they don't pull it, of course). I think even Amex would be better than BC.

Thanks - when you put it like that it is very attractive. I have never calculated it, and I think this is the first time the offer has been that good. I am on a 0.5% Barclaycard, which hasn't been available for a long time, so I've been protective of it, but you're right I could transfer much of my spending to Chase.0 -
Of course, you'd have to pay down 3% of the BC balance every month, so keep some back for that0
-
MBNA 0% BT for 12 months fee 3.5% or 15 months for 4%. Money transfers for the same periods for 4% or 4,5% fee.
BoS 0% BT fee 3.5% or MT 4%.
Keep going in to check but Barclaycard haven’t offered me anything for a couple of years but increased credit limit.0
