Belly_8uster said:Update: I have put in the SAR, and in the following discussion have established that UKPC have received the email from the McDonalds manager.I have also emailed DCB Legal copying a picture of the email from McDonalds and as yet I only have a "bot" reply to acknoweldge they have received the email.
Or is it sheer incompetence BY UKPC
They have passed your personal data to DCBL
DCBL will not take this to court unless they want another spanking and you win your costs for unreasonable behaviour
These stupid cases are like watching Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck dressed up in drag2 -
Quick Update:The latest is that after pondering for quite a while DCBL have offered to settle at about 50% of the claim amount.I take this as a good sign, but I won't be accepting their kind offer.2

Ignore it .... await your discontinuation

These guys don't know when to fold. The discontinuation didn't come, instead I have a claim form from the local court.

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6377263/dcb-legal-record-of-private-parking-court-claim-discontinuations/p1Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

1: They issue a court claim and you then follow the advice on here. You proceed on the basis it will go to the court
2: They will confirm that their client wishes to proceed
3: After a time, depends on how far away the court date is, they will contact YOU saying their client wants to deal
IGNORE THAT
3: As the court date gets closer, they may have another pop trying to make you pay ... IGNORE
4: DCBL then has a choice, get spanked in court where you can claim your costs or discontinue ...... with rubbish claims like yours, ..... GUESS WHAT THEY DO ?
ENJOY THIS GAME OF POKER, follow the leaders and most of all .. be patient and enjoy the fun0 -

That's unusual - unless of course you are in Northampton.
Usually a County Court Claim Form will come from the County Court Business Centre in Northampton.
As asked by @Coupon_mad, please state the Issue Date on your Claim Form.1 -
The letter is dated 07 July 2023. It is from Northampton which just happens to be relatively local to me.Thanks for all the other advice.0
