DCB Legal have responded to my wife's rebuttal of their Letter of Claim. Despite having no evidence of any wrongdoing on her part, they insist she pays £160 or face court. What's her next step?0

Has plan A, complaints to the landowner and MP, been exhausted yet?
If so, await a court claim then defend it as per the advice in the NEWBIES and the template defence thread.

They haven't given the landowner details. I have not bothered our local MP as this case had gone quiet for months. DCB Legal's response ignored all my wife's requests and just harped on about paying up.0

They won't give the landowner details until the WS stage just before the hearing. It's therefore up to the defendant to determine who owns the land and complain to them if you want to avoid a court case.
Victims of unregulated parking companies should always complain to their MP. It's the only way things will ever change.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks3 -

For a definitive answer pay a few quid to the Land Registry if you have a specific address. For a search using a map location it takes longer and costs a bit more.I married my cousin. Cheers Fruitcake and Patient_Dream. I did think that ignoring everything she wrote (based on the newbies advice here) could be used against them. I think she's going to fire the same letter back, this time advising them not to be total cocks.0

Cheapest Land Registry query appears to be £20. That about right?0
