Hi @theonenonly ... if you go this page https://www.halifax.co.uk/bankaccounts.html you will find "£175 switching offer Terms and Conditions" half way down 🐱👤grumbler said:theonenonly said:Can I switch a Lloyds account to Halifax?"The hardest thing of all is to find a black cat in a dark room, especially if there is no cat"Check the T&C, section 'You are not eligible for the offer if'

Me and the wife have a couple of unused TSB accounts and we have a JIONT Halifax reward account. The fact that you can get £175 for switching a dormant account to an existing account is a no brainer so I will do that.
However, if my wife wanted to switch her TSB account I assume she we need to open a NEW Halifax account? Will this work or will they class her as having already done a switch as I have used a joint account?
Or would it be better to ignore the joint account and open a new one? Not sure I want to do this - that will mean funding 3 Halifax accounts. Not sure I can be bothered with the admin of that.0 -
I’m hopeful Lloyds start an offer soon, I wish to return to Lloyds. Halifax I’m afraid to say seem very rude when I visited the branch, can anyone advise if they have found Halifax to
be good or bad?
Im aware Lloyds own Halifax!0 -
Has anyone tried if they've previously received an incentive?
Just curious with the success I've had with Natwest group when T&Cs said I shouldn't have qualified I did end up getting an incentive from each.
Wondering if Halifax are as lax!0 -
my relationship with a bank and whether they are good or bad is entirely dependent on if they pay out a said incentive (and how efficient they are at doing so) or not. branches for me are irrelevant as there's so few left in my local town.[Deleted User] said:I’m hopeful Lloyds start an offer soon, I wish to return to Lloyds. i have no loyalty to any bank other than the one i opened 30 odd years ago and even then just for convenience of having so much set up with them.1 -

Don't know about Halifax but their parent, Lloyd's, sent me a very polite letter telling me why I wasn't getting a second incentive inside six months.
I didn't bother Halifax again.0
