Good evening 🙂I'm sorry I haven't been around. It has been very quiet on here as I managed to catch up quite quickly! My sieve brain hasn't retained much though 🙄 so hugs, sticks, spoons, gws wishes, congratulations, etc as appropriate. Oh, and welcome to the new flybaby 😊
I have been busy today as follows:Meal plan & food shopCleared some old stuff from fridge & emptied the food bin (twice!)Wiped dining tableTip trip with old garden chairs, a random pallet, a broken parasol base & various old electrical itemsCS trip done with 3 bags of various stuffVac'd LRStripped bed & remade3 x WM (including bedding) all dried & foldedPut on DWWULTD dishes from tonight's dinner (DH did yesterday's this morning)Cleaned 1 litter trayCleaned downstairs toilet & basin
Decluttered & cleaned the top of a high unit in the DR (I am particularly pleased to have done this as it has been on my list for over a year!! 😱)
Sent off 2 contracts to be signed
Updated finance spreadsheets
Got up to date with emails
Paid deposit for a friend's hen do
Booked my car in for its MOT
Erm...I think that is everything 😁
It is amazing what you get done when you are procrastinating......🤣
Anyhoo...I had an email last week which means that ofsted will be calling me soon for an inspection 😱😱😱😱 In my experience, the waiting is far worse than the actual inspection, but the fear is real! I will be glad when it is done, but for now I am just waiting....and fretting....8 -
Well done everyone, it looks like you have all been busy today.I have had husband home today. He couldn’t get to work because something was wrong with the car and it had to go to the garage to be fixed. Fortunately his work we’re understanding. Anyway, I got home from work and found him relaxing and watching television. So I put a stop to that and put him on window cleaning duty.We had a good go at the kitchen, and sorted out another cupboard. Then we did some paperwork and burned the confidential stuff that I didn’t want to put in the recycling.

Morning all. Hope all the poorlies are improving.
Another day to myself today although I am meeting up with friends this afternoon. I will report back on flying. Admin first.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Good morning,
I am waiting in today to have smart metres fitted. I hope the house won’t get too cold when they turn the gas and electricity off. Apparently, it could take up to 3 hours. I’d better make sure I have plenty of hot water for cleaning.8 -
Good morning all,
I thought I’d lost you all there for a moment - somehow missed the link on last week’s thread!
Christmas - that cupboard is a joy to behold! When your meters are being fitted, have some water in a flask for a cup of coffee, in case you haven’t thought of that already 😉.
Waves to GI.
Non work day today, so it is haircut shortly in big town. I will take DD’s car again and try to get petrol for a second time, if Mr S doesn’t decide to be closed again. The house is amazingly tidy and sort of clean (in perspective, what I mean is, as tidy as it ever is, not actual real clean and tidy). This can only be due to DH working away. I think I need to trade him in for a cleaner model, if such a thing exists.
I sorted out the freezer on Sunday and pulled out random bags of veg, so they have been my dinners this week. Managed to fit the rest of a loaf in their place, so win-win, as I would have lived off toast until it ran out.
Today I have some admin and flingage lined up, and I will probably log on for work as I’m stressing about a particular job which I might be able to sort out quietly at home. I’m planning on banking the hours, hopefully to spend some time with DD when she is back at Easter.Back after my foray to big town.
Hugs to all x5 -
Me again.
I have dusted in LR including under furniture and retrieved a crayon, toy car and mega brick. Also dusted flat surfaces in bedroom, changed bedding which is now in machine, washed breakfast dishes and s&sd bathrooms.
Just having a cuppa. It's a beautiful day here and Poppet and I will be heading out shortly for a walk.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
