New boiler installed but No paperwork

If the 30 day window is set by Gas Safe then failing to complete the paperwork within that period will surely be more of a problem for the installer than the customer? I suspect if he'd gone over the time limit he might well just fudge the installation date on the paperwork to be later than it actually was. Personally, I wouldn't kick up a fuss if he did - it would just mean the clock would be restarted on any warranty.

Yup. The engineer did the gas safe cert just in time, seperately a month ago. Hee must have done that as he knew he himself would be at risk if he didnt (from losing his gas safe registration). Regarding the installation paperwork...me and some close friends think that is exactly what he may have done (fudge it after, as the boiler manfacturer also set a 30 day registration period which he missed). I didn't miss it though as I registered it myself just wihin time but without the commissioning page which wasn't a pre requisite. I was told it was a requirement to have it in the event of a claim. So now, it is covered fully. Any quieries about the commisioning data will be between gas safe, the manufacturer and the engineer (and not me). 
Indeed I took that approach...No fuss from me regarding the content of the paperwork.
