New boiler installed but No paperwork

Hi and apologies if this is the wrong place for this. Looking for some advice.
We had a new boiler installed 3 weeks ago by a gas safe registered engineer. He said he would completed the registration documents and get them to me. I have chased him up 3 times. The first two times was 'I'll get it over to you'. Today the third time was 'I've done it and will email it to you tonight after work'. I had checked with gas safe and they say he hasn't registered the boiler. The installation took place 3 weeks ago and Gas safe say it should be done within 30 days. They are willing to chase it up for me.
I'm not sure what to do as firstly I don't even have the boiler manual. The engineer has all the paperwork. I am trying to check that he has registed the installation with the manufacturer. He says he has, but again, I haven't seen or received anything.
Any advice on what else I can do other than contacting gas safe to begin the chase up? In terms of paperwork, the engineer says he has it all. I have nothing. I'm getting quite upset about this. Thank you for any advice anyone can give. I've not experienced anything like this before. I paid in full as soon as he requested the funds, which was on the day of installation and after it had been installed.

How did you pay? If by a CC they may be able to exert some pressure (they would be equally liable).0

Hi
Let gas safe take care of it and advise you0 -
Is he registered with Gas safe? - you can check on their website.
If so, agree - let them chase him on your behalf.
I too recently had a boiler fitted and my engineer hung on to all the paperwork - including boiler manual, until he'd completed the registration.0 -

Give him time, most tradesmen are always behind on paperwork. I’ve done jobs 3 weeks ago and still not sent a invoice yet.I could send them tonight but to tired after a hard day working.3 -

OP, you said that Gas Safe said it had to be done in 30 days. If it's only been 3 weeks then he still has time. I would leave it until 30 days. Your boiler is no more or less safe because it has or hasn't been registered. If you were happy with their work, then best not kick up too much of a fuss IMO, as a good gas engineer, like a good heart, is hard to find.2

OP have you checked he's gas safe registered (hopefully you didt this before letting him start work)? If he is, I wouldn't worry too much yet. If he's a sole trader, chances are he's very busy and will get round to it when he has chance.
It's hard for sole traders - you spend all day working and then have to spend your evenings travelling around quoting for jobs. It leaves very little time for 'admin'.1 -
The important thing here is that the guy is registered with GasSafe, so is presumably both competent and has carried out the installation correctly. The rest is just paperwork. It's important pw, yes, but really, it ain't going to make any difference for a good while. He's a busy and/or disorganised fellow, and almost certainly will get this sorted for you before too long. Meanwhile, I personally wouldn't be 'concerned', just a wee bit annoyed, and would let it sit for another week or so before starting to rattle his cage. i mean, what actual difference does it make? If it goes pear-shaped, he's the guy in the poo.Operating instructions are available online.I'm not excusing the guy - not at all; he should have all this happening as a matter of routine, and leave his customers feeling totally reassured. But he's a bit 'lax' - almost certainly that is all. And, if he does get it registered in the next couple of days, he's technically done now't wrong...0
