Morning all.
We have white stuff, less than earlier on, but more forecast to dump on us later and tomorrow.
Up at usual time, awake an hour before the alarm clock. Obviously because I didn’t need to be. Read a bit of my book (luxury), put the wm on, stripped and remade the bed, washed and tidied my hair.I’m now having my breakfast and need to form a plan. I have to take DD’s car back to the garage to get the service warning light turned off that they forgot to do at the service. That’s all well and good, but it is at least a 40 mile round trip, which I need to get out of the way, as the thought of driving around big town is stressing me out.
ASB, lots of hugs for you, I don’t have my own chain saw which might be more useful than a hug. I’ll leave that to Kaz. Maybe you, me and YL need to go back on the Flylady Just Say No course. I could definitely do with a refresher.
Wm has just finished, back later x8 -
I have a nail appointment at 10 so just enough tim for a cuppa and load both WM's so I can hang out when I get back.. I may have a few towels I can hang out before I go anyway. This tingly leg thing is driving me mad.. Dr Google says I have MS.. Dr Google is an idiot! It is also my face a bit and my left side and back but to a lesser degree. it's not a circulation thing as my foot is warm (all hail the socks with tog!) and it happens whether I am sitting, standing or laid in bed. It happened when I was on the loo yesterday and I nearly fell off.. it is really irritating.
Dot has dentist at 4 so I need to dash the other 2 back and get her back out.. that should be interesting.. she is a nightmare at dentist.. she has bit her the last twice.Cuppa... laundry... go-go!!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Right more organised now, up dressed, ironing done and away.Cats fedBirds / deer fedNext door's cat stroked.Sausages out for freezer for dinner tonight, mash and gravy I thinkFire done, logs in running out, and no more wood left, so I'll look on fb and freecycle to see if there is any free wood around, trouble is it is likely to be wet / or unseasoned.Valli, you cannot just go cutting over hanging hedge back or down if it is over your property, then you can cut it back to the boundary, but you have to offer the cuttings back to the owner, in my case I just get on with it, naughty, but it gets the job done, and before the birds start to nest. The new 500 ltr water butt is full! which I find a bit odd as it hasn't rained here, except recently for a while, it must be since I cleaned the gutters out, the water can now run.It is sleeting here.Have a good dayBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Yay eldest has another driving test for next week 🎉
hubby has been dragged into doing something for his dad again cos he won’t say no even though he shouldn’t be doing these things because of his back problems grr
ive been round house looking for coat hangers as no one returns them to me and I have all hubbys new shirts and trousers in washer and I like to hang them to dry as then take less ironing which I’ll do next week so don’t get creased in wardrobe before even worn any 😂9 -
Me again. Bedding changed, just about to put third wash load on, dog walked, bedroom dusted, dailies done, floors hoovered and mopped.Spend less now, work less later.9

Hmm, our newish neighbour didn’t bother with the correct rules, even though we knew them. He became the self appointed chain saw massochist (??) one day when we were out, and hey presto our shrubbery was down. Now his fence is falling down where he has pushed so much against it. What a shame 😈. All our other neighbours are lovely btw!
DD’s car sorted, uneventful drive to big town, although Mr S scuppered my plans by closing the petrol station. I’ll have to make yet another trip out, maybe next week.
Dropped birthday present off to a friend, ended up having coffee and a chat, which was nice. Did a guilt ridden s&s of the ensuite when I got back. Need to unpack the new sc - finally managed to lay my hands on one to replace the broken one. Same model which is good as the old one lasted years.Plan for this afternoon is admin 🥱. I might log on to work to stop my brain from being in overdrive.7 -
it’s leylandii, i only cut back what hangs over the fence and i kindly dispose of it for them.
the hedge is dead in the middle, it really needs to come down.
pottering about really, but flinging as i go, a bit of reorganising, a shelf cleared in a kitchen cupboard and cleaned. All as a forerunner to cleaning the kitchen

HACK THE HEDGE!! .. if they were bothered they would groom it.. an unkempt bush is unsightly and if it is filling up your own garden then you may fly-garden it.. Would they be civilised if you asked them if they would come do it? I would be all wilting on my recent treatments and they might actually be pretty human about it.. you never know until you ask!
I've not done anything useful or productive.. but I did walk to my nail appointment and back and have the school run to do then walk halfway back to take Dot to dentist.. so I will stay at doing nothing until later.. I will need to do dinner, pack ups and the DW.
I fib.. I replaced the empty cardboard tube with a new lo roll and put dirty laundry in the WM's, but they arenn't full yet. I fed cats.. and deluttered an apple and 2 packets of ready salted crisps no one else likes.

Hi all
Paid stuff done until Monday, lots of tricky stuff going on at the paid stuff and I feel slightly anxious leaving the troops to go it alone but I need to take some holidays.
I have made a very brave decision to get the train into Leeds on Thursday to meet DS who is taking the afternoon off so we can have lunch and a catch up. The thought of negotiating a train journey and an unfamiliar city is making me rather nervous, which is ridiculous, it's only Leeds for goodness sake. Darned anxiety.
I am currently under a blanket with the dog waiting for DH to come home, and hoping he might make a stir fry (DH that is, not the dog). There is flying to do, but it can wait.9
