Hello, thank you all for your input, I haven’t been on here in a while as I have been moving house and I’ve been really really busy with that. I have received my court order through giving me a month to pay the claimant. I was intending to pay it at the end of this week. However I’ve just read over the comments. How would I do a set aside with consent? Does that involve me contacting DCB legal directly or is there a form I complete and file? After this case I was going to then appeal the previous CCJ I paid on the grounds of cause of action estoppel, and the fact it was sent to the wrong address. Do you think there is any possibility I could still do that to at least recover some monies?0

I am sorry but you must pay this one where you missed the hearing. No point paying a huge £303 fee (it's just gone up) to try to set it aside and I think your application would be refused.
The other one: honestly I think you will struggle with that, too. If you paid it off and many months have passed, you are very late to apply. Is it ruining your credit to have that satisfied CCJ hanging around?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ok, thank you for your honest advice. I just have to swallow it and move on. I’m going to pay DCB tomorrow. Still absolutely kicking myself for such a silly mix up with the days, and after all the time and work I put into it. But it is what it is.
thank you again for all of your help and advice.1 -
Just DO NOT phone DCB Legal to pay, because they'll fob you off to DCB Ltd who will add £200 for no reason (seen it before).Ysekots said:Ok, thank you for your honest advice. So I have just received an email from DCB trying to get another £400 out of me. The court order letter I received just requested I pay dcb the stated amount within 30 days of the date on the letter. That is exactly what I did. Dcb are now claiming that I incurred fees for each day I didn’t pay it. So it was passed over to them 15th April and I paid on the 26th April. Please can someone advise me on how to now proceed.Annoyingly the courts won’t wipe the mark against my name on the fines register until dcb confirm to them that I paid the amount I was ordered to pay by the court. I initially sent the courts proof/receipt of my payment to show I paid within 30 days but they responded that they will only accept confirmation from the claimant.0

Above is the email I received from dcb and my immediate response to it. I was absolutely furious when I saw it. I’ve seen in another thread from last year that I should report them, and/or phone dcb ltd and demand to know the details of these extra costs incurred and record it. Please let me know if I should follow that advice or do something else.0 -
Reply to DCB Legal telling them you are going to report them to the SRA and will report DCB Ltd to Civea because the sum required under the Order of the Court was paid in full and the most that HCEOs could have added (but they didn't, because the payment was made already) is capped at £75 by law.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Are they just making things up now?

My response is below. I checked the fees and charges structure and enforcement stages on hceoa’s website. I never received any correspondence regarding added fees, time frames and escalations to different enforcement stages. It’s as if DCB are just completing making it up. It’s just appalling that they try and do this to people.
