Bank holiday monday and the sun is out ☀️It’s been a dry weekend so DF put 2 coats of roof seal on the kitchen flat roof. Supposed to last 10 years 🤞
One tin unused and one piece of gutter, both returned for a refund £38.40, should be refunded to my credit card before the bill is due.Saturday was very warm. I did a bit of twig cutting while DF was on the roof. Then popped to my friend for a cuppa. Back home and did another hour twig cutting before it got too hot 🥵 Must look at getting a parasol or gazebo and some outdoor chairs.Another trip to the tip planned for later in the week after the bank holiday rush!Picked up some cans of Diet Cola & nibbles. Cooked a gammon joint in my slow cooker yesterday and had some with salad. Should last several days. I am having some for breakfast today with scrambled egg.Bank current account £30.81
I pay myself on 31 May and shouldn’t need to buy anything before then. Plenty of food & milk and a couple of batch cooked meals in the freezer as well as the gammon.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

It's lovely to hear you sounding so content Skinty, getting the house sorted and spending time with your DF and your friends.
We are very cloudy here today, but I don't think the sun is expected to come out to play for the next few days, so when you're basking think of me.I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy2 -
Everything is coming along nicely and you're having very full days with the garden, visits, lunches out and general adventures.
It's done you a world of good retiring and already shows in you're posts, they radiate with so much happiness and relaxed updates.
Enjoy the weather and get loads of ice ready in the freezer 😁Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

You've done really well with spending on the house.
My plan is to do essentials like you then wait and save for other improvements.
Enjoy your weekendIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I have enough money left for bathroom lino and a skip which is arriving next week £162. Everything else is a work in progress!Another lovely sunny day today.DF has been sorting the new bathroom door we picked up yesterday. I have been labourer and chief tea maker 😆
I chopped more branches and found a parasol base in the undergrowth. DF said he can drill out the broken wooden part of a parasol which is currently stuck in it.My old school friend popped round this afternoon and brought me a cast iron patio table and 2 chairs she was getting rid of. Swap for the garden shed I am giving them. She said she also has some paint for the patio set and a parasol I can have. 😁
DF brought me some broad beans from his allotment which I have podded, blanched and frozen.I have a batch of tandoori chicken cooking and will have some with salad for tea.
