  • Thanks SQS. I have exercises and am waiting for an injection. I phoned the GP surgery yesterday and the receptionist said they have the physio referral and she would print it out and find out if someone at the surgery can do it or if they have to refer me elsewhere. So hopefully I will find out next week.

Today I have woken up with a snuffly nose. I have had pressure in one ear for 2 days and it’s the same today. I am still going to aqua fit and will then take it easy.

Yesterday I cooked beetroot from DF’s allotment and blanched and froze more green beans. My friend came round for a cuppa and I had a 30 minute walk around the village.

It’s sunny so far this morning so I’m off to put a load of washing on.

  • Thanks SQS I have just checked my emails and aqua fit has been cancelled last night. I have phoned the leisure centre and the whole class is cancelled. Probably a good thing as my nose hasn’t stopped running since I got up and I can’t have tissues in the pool!

  • Thanks @doingitanyway

Yesterday was a complete write off 🤒 🤧 my nose didn’t stop all day.

I put chicken fillets, chopped onions and peppers and a tin of chickpeas in the slow cooker with a jar of aldee curry sauce and had some for dinner. The rest was portioned up and frozen. Lunch was leftover butternut squash soup. The rest of the day was spent laying on the sofa, sipping cooled water and blowing my nose!

Not feeling great today but haven’t got out of bed long enough for my nose to start dripping yet. I chatted to DF on the phone yesterday to let him know that I am ok but not to pop round for a few days so I don’t pass this lurgy on to him. Not due to see my friend until Tuesday so hopefully it will be gone by then! Hopefully doing a tip run with DF on Wednesday.

Hope you're feeling a little better. Could be all this good, homegrown food and clean air ridding your system of gunk.

Add making a ratatouille to your menu, there's enough different veggies from DF for a scrumptious one and it needn't follow the usual recipe.

  • Thanks MF and SQS x 😊

Still not right today, keep needing to lie down. However my ears have cleared and my nose is not snuffly or running or blocked. Hopefully back to normal tomorrow or Tuesday.

I have discovered I can join the leisure centre online for free using a code (usually £25) and then pay monthly £32.50 with unlimited classes. This means I will be able to do aquafit on Tuesdays and Fridays. Usually £8.50 per class so should be a good saving. I will not be going this Tuesday as I am still recovering from whatever lurgy I have. It’s a bit of a faff as you have to join online and set up a direct debit then go in person with 2 forms of ID, one with photo, collect your membership card and then wait 24 hours before booking! Should be well enough by Friday.

Have had stuffed marrow for tea with swede and carrot mash. The ice cream man came down the road yesterday so I treated myself 🍦😋 I would have treated myself again today but thankfully he hasn’t turned up today 😆
