Aw I am so annoyed for you regarding vinted but have to say they are getting a very bad name at the moment , hopefully you can challenge the ban or at least get your funds back xx

Thank you for your kindness and cheerleading DFW321, ArtyJ931, enthusiasticsaver & Newstartforme. A kind word goes a long way and your replies have cheered me up this morning, thank you. xx
The dizziness and generally feeling a bit weird got really bad yesterday, to the point where I felt I wasn't safe to drive, so I called the Dr and they gave me an appointment for the same day. 😮 This never happens, I thought I must be dying! 😆😉 A lovely (12-year-old-looking-making-me-feel-like-an-old-woman) GP named some inner ear issue and prescribed some medication which has helped no end already, so I'm very grateful.I took a portion of the steak pasta out of the freezer for DS before I left for the appointment which he heated up and scoffed. Another portion also disappeared whilst I was out, so it must have been good! He has training tonight so I've taken some chicken out of the freezer to defrost and will get a meal ready for him before taking him there.
I sold some lego for DS on FB this week and he's made £60 from that so far with another £20 today if the buyer turns up. I still have a huge pile of clothes next to me in my office after the vinted fiasco, so I've decided to list them as bundles on ebay tonight. I need to get some space back and any money made will be a plus. Annoyingly, I'd just made a £16 sale on vinted when they decided to ban me so they automatically cancelled that. 😡
I also have quite a lot of 'retro' china and glassware that I should really look at selling now. I love it, but never use it and it just collects dust and takes up space so it needs to go. The money will help right now, too. I don't particularly want to post breakables so will try fb first. If not, I may approach a retro/antique shop but I don't think I'll get great prices that way as they obviously need to make a good profit on items too.
Last night I painted the area in DS's room that needed going over. I also touched up lots of marks in the hallway/stairs/landing but now it's dried I can see the newer areas of paint clearly and it looks awful, so I'll have to re-paint the whole area. I have the paint, I just don't have the enthusiasm to do it. 😣 I also repainted a pillar in the kitchen and several areas of skirting and woodwork including the large fireplace surround in our lounge, so it all looks a bit fresher. I still need to do the stair spindles and handrail but still can't face that job. It'll have to be done when DS isn't here too as if I tell him there's wet paint to avoid he usually accidentally gravitates straight towards it within minutes. 🤦♀️
I was thankful the washing dried on the line yesterday so there were pennies/pounds saved on not using the TD. It also seems to shrink things so I hate using it.
Some of the items washed were in readiness to list, so I have no excuse now not to do them.
I still also haven't tackled the ironing pile which is building daily. I couldn't stand for long yesterday as I was so dizzy.
The first job today is to re-look at the budget and amount I need to make/find. I need to update my piece of paper now I have more or less paid the CC debt and I'll feel a lot better if I can find where I can make some savings even if it's a few £'s. I have taken your advice enthusasticsaver and am forgetting about the mortgage OP's for now. I just can't cover everything all at once so need to concentrate on one thing at a time for now, as hard as I find it. :(

I have that inner ear issue every so often, @MeandO. The first time I had it about 25 years ago, I was behind the wheel in the middle of a 5-lane section of a city centre junction. I was on my own & seriously thought I was having a stroke. It usually just lasts a week or two for me so hopefully yours will soon pass.

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!1 -
Sorry to hear you suffer from it too, @foxgloves. The stroke thing did cross my mind with my huge family history of them, so I was relieved the Dr ruled that out.

I was having dizzy spells for a year on and off it is not nice. Much sympathy. Mine mostly disappeared when I quit taking HRT. Big stroke risks in our family history too so I'm glad to say most of mine have gone now. Hope you're feeling better soon.

So glad you are feeling better. Well done on the painting I’ve cleaned part of a wall made dirty by the dogs and I can see the paint difference. I need to get some enthusiasm to get painting as wee. x

I’m so angry, I feel absolutely conned.
The vinted buyer of DS’s £40 item has received the goods (brand new expensive trainers worth around £79 that he never wore as he wasn’t keen on them), obviously seen that my account has been banned, so has opened a ‘not as described’ case and immediately been refunded. So now I have no money and they don’t need to return the trainers because my account has been banned. I am so, so angry. How can vinted get away with this, it’s theft. It’s worse because they belonged to DS and that was his money. I will somehow find a spare £40 to give him, I’m not telling him what’s happened.
I’ve lodged a complaint via resolver but I won’t hold my breath for anything to be resolved. I’ve just cried, it feels like the last straw at the moment. Now to find £40 to give him. I have no idea where I’ll be able to skim that from though as all money is needed elsewhere. :(

Oh I’m so sorry this has happened. The buyer now has a pair of trainers for free I assume. That can’t be fair. You don’t deserve all these things happening to you. Sending you a hug x

How despicable can someone be , really do feel for you , hits worse when it's your child . I hear more and more folk are leaving vinted and no wonder xx

Wow I'm gobsmacked that this is allowed. I had a similar problem years ago with an eBay buyer complaining about something I'd sold and she managed to get my account blocked for ages I never got the item sent back to me and she kept her money as they refunded her ...I never went back. I've been hearing similar about vinted ☹️ I'd be livid. So sorry it's not what you need right now x
