The £10 fb sale has been collected and I have accepted an offer of just under £60 for the eBay item, so hopefully that goes through without a hitch. The £70 will go towards paying off the Cc bill, with a very small amount left after then to pay off.
I need to get petrol this evening so going to fill it with £40 in the hope it lasts me for the next 3 weeks until payday. I also need to pick up two or 3 items I didn’t realise we had run out of, so will use the remaining cash in my purse for those.
I made DS a big batch of bolognaise risotto for tea tonight. He had a huge bowl and there’s two portions cooling for the freezer for another time.
I’ve also painted a bit more skirting board this evening but DS seems drawn to wet paint and managed to somehow get it on his socks and walk it up the stairs. Thankfully it's come off that carpet with a bit of carpet stain remover as was caught quickly! No more painting for me until he’s at school tomorrow.Mortgage at highest: £147,500 Now: £64,755.45

Would it be an option that your other half could open an account with Vinted in his name and then you could utilise that?

We did think of that DancingInTheRain as OH does have a vinted account but has only ever used it once. However, he had an email yesterday from them with new terms and conditions and we both agree some of them are really out of order so he's closing his account and I will just head over to ebay and give it my best shot. I think vinted are slowly shooting themselves in the foot.

Morning all,
Another poor night of sleep, but that's partly my own fault as I got so into reading one of the 2nd hand books I picked up for pennies the other day and couldn't put it down until I'd finished it. I was shocked to see it was well past midnight by then, oops.
I put £45 of petrol in the car last night and another £11ish was spent in the supermarket on things we'd run out of, the latter being paid for with money from my purse. There was just over £47 in the petrol pot so I swept the remainder to the CC pot. The ebay, fb and leftover fuel change has been paid off the credit cards this morning. One is now cleared and there's £52.70 left to pay on the 0% one which I'd like to clear before starting on the holiday fund so I know I owe nothing except the mortgage.
I'm going to try and get some walls painted today with paint I already have in so no further spends. I'm hoping today will be a NSD as we don't need a thing.Mortgage at highest: £147,500 Now: £64,755.45

Pleased with the painting I got done today. The hallway, stairs and bits of the landing that needed re-doing, plus some more woodwork has all been given a fresh coat. The walls were painted over with the same existing colour so I didn’t need to be too precise which helped me get it done quickly. I only ended up using one of the two tins I bought for the woodwork well over a month ago and was a bit gutted to have wasted money on a second tin I didn’t end up needing, but luck must have been on my side today as the receipt for the paint was under one of the tins and there’s a 90 day returns policy so that will be returned asap for around £20 back and paid off the card. :)
I also pulled up quite a few weeds today and made a start on the summer flowers that have died off and need to be pulled out. I’ll try and do a bit more of that later or cut the grass if it’s dry.
DS has been fed as he came home from school really hungry. A spare portion of today’s chicken and rice based meal is boxed and ready for the freezer. He’s going out to watch a football match later so I’m going to potter and get a few more jobs done. I need to rip up the little bit of vinyl flooring in the downstairs loo in readiness for the work to start tomorrow, plus I’d like to give that room and the main bathroom a good clean. Well, I wouldn’t LIKE to, but I NEED to!
I was going to take the paint back and post the eBay box which is all ready to go, but that would mean two journeys tonight for the sake of it when I can post the box tomorrow after the school run as I’ll be passing the shop and will be driving past the DiY store on Saturday. I’m really trying to make the petrol last until payday now so am trying to be conscious of every mile I drive.

The grass is cut, weeds pulled, flooring pulled up from the downstairs loo and binned and I’ve cleaned in there and the bathroom has had a good clean. I’m aching and exhausted now but am glad to have got everything done. I’ve got PJ’s on and will soon be heading to my bed.
Today was a successful NSD too, so all in all a good day.
Night all x

Well done Meando , it's a very satisfying feeling knowing you have had a productive day , especially commendable as you don't always feel too great and have a lot going on x

Thanks both. Not got much done today as I’ve been relegated to only a couple of rooms with the work going on here today. I did get two loads of washing done and line dried and have run the iron over DS’s school shirts. I also tackled a project at work that I had been putting off for a LONG time, so I’m glad to have forced myself to do that as it was one of those tasks I kept putting off and it was playing on my mind.
DS is NOT happy that we have to wait for the screed that’s been laid on the floor to dry before going upstairs this evening and boy is he letting me know about it with his ‘Kevin the teenager’ mode in full swing. I’m even getting occasionally scowled at! 🙄 He’s been fed, had the option of going to the gym early, had the offer of going out for food and really hasn’t suffered at all so he’ll have to put up with it for a while longer! Teenagers… 🤪
