Great news about the job CCL, but like everyone else I am sad to hear about Layla.
Tricky week at the paid stuff. Got finished early and went out on the bike with a couple of cycling friends. Very enjoyable, if a little chilly. Cleaned the kitchen when I got back and did some washing which is now over the airer.
DW on, fire lit. Ready for the weekend.8 -

Morning all, it’s very quiet on here, I hope you are all ok. Or has the flylady bus gone off on a trip and missed its stop in the south west 🥲.
It’s still, dull and chilly here. I have been fluttering decluttering this morning - totally unplanned, but for some reason I felt the need to find my sunglasses 🤷♀️. 2 drawers now tidied, then I had the lbm and remembered they were with my swimsuit in a different drawer…obviously!
Off out to pub lunch later with DSis and BiL. My treat as we agreed a lunch out for birthdays rather than buying gifts. I have budgeted for it, so hopefully it comes in under budget, but I somehow doubt it.
Have a lovely day x8 -

Aaarrrgggghhhh.
Sat planning my Saturday flutter / declutter and ring ring. Pops. Are you coming for a coffee? Erm. We'll I'm not actually dressed yet Dad, but I'll get dressed and come round. And there it is. Gone. My Saturday morning. I do not like spontaneity. I am now completely discombobulated (it doesn't take much).
I've made my bed, sploshed bleach down the loo, fed the birds and put out the recycling.
Plan:
Empty bins in LR and kitchen
Fit new bin bags
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing
Lunch.
And hopefully I'll work out which way is UP at some point ☝
Love to all

23 minutes MAD:
Put pots to soak
Put out recycling
Drape first load of washing on airer
Set second load swishing
WUDUPA
Bin foil
Put away baking tray
Wipe down kettle
I've also set the timer for 23 minutes and moved all my paperwork from a D ring file (overflowing) into a lever arch file and filled a charity bag that came through the letterbox with shredding. Bag is now out with the recycling.
Will now drape second load of washing on the airer

Well done on Making A Difference, round x
I have not made much of a difference to my house today. Most rooms are tidy, the exceptions being DH's bedroom (as ever! - and we won't mention his man cave...) and my study (which has too many bits of paper lying around, waiting to be dealt with, for my comfort), but the whole place looks as if it could do with a good dust and vacuum. I must tidy the study tonight so that there is space to clean at lunchtime tomorrow, as the new Church Treasurer will be coming at 3pm to pick my brains over something to do with the annual accounts.
This morning I went to the podiatrist for a trim to match my hairdo, then picked up DH and Rosie from home. We drove to a nice NT property for a soup and sandwich lunch - and here, unlike the property that we visited last week, Rosie *was* allowed to travel with us on the golf buggy from the car park to the café. After lunch DH walked slowly round the formal gardens where dogs are not allowed, while Rosie and I took a brisk walk round part of the parkland, though she had to stay on the lead because of the pregnant ewes. She still enjoyed herself, managing to cadge a bit of our tuna sandwiches and taking great delight in all the scents in the long grass. A pleasant but chilly afternoon.
Getting hungry now, so I'd better sort tea. See you on the new thread tomorrow evening xxx
ETA: Filing has been done and the study is tidy7 -
While my plans for the day went awry idid peg outa washload of duvet cover and pillow cases, stripped and remade my bed, took a load of coats to CS (well jackets and a couple of fleeces), and a CDRom language course (hola chicas), cleaned out the rabbit hutch (which is never minging because they toilet in the understory and spend most of their time on the garden), went to emmandess to have the security tag removed from my new jacket (in the sale and actually fits) and bought jeans and a jumper (oops) but more went out than came in so that’s a plus.
Been to friends for tea - paella - which fits in with duolingo - in hope of mastering the language I want to learn. Hola mujeres. (?)
Lots of putting away and vacuuming. So house looks fine. Buenas noches amigas (I hope that means which I think it does)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
