Morning all,
I’ve been flying at a leisurely pace this morning (day off = early awake, grrr) so now I can post with a clear(er) conscience.
Bed changed, remade, wm x 1 done and hung up. Clean washing shuffled.
Upstairs vacuumed once DH had finished his work call. Vacuum cleaner emptied into bin just before the dustmen came round the corner…..dustbin brought back in.
Ensuite given a s&s and bathroom cleaned.
Dead tulips out into the compost bin. Water in the jug might just have helped them to live longer… dead houseplants thrown out. I have lost more plants in the last few months than ever before - victims of running such a cold house, it seems.
DH has broken the bedroom blind. He didn’t say anything but as he never clears anything up, the broken piece was still on the windowsill. He is such a numpty. An annoying one at that.
Off out shortly with DH. When we return, we should have sorted out a mighty frog that has croaked at us for nigh on 30 years.
Just checking- ASB, are you ok, honey? x7 -
Good morning,
All good here. I am benefiting from my nocturnal flying. The living room is as clean and tidy as I intend doing. It might not stand close inspection, but good enough is good enough. I didn’t clean the windows. I didn’t clean the bedroom or bathroom windows last week either. But it was easy to catch up on them at weekend because I had done all the other jobs in those rooms. So I will catch up on living room windows another time.
A shortage of veg has meant I have had a lot of fruit in my veg boxes lately. More fruit than I can eat. Before I go to work this afternoon I am going to chuck any that has gone bad, and take any that is overripe and squidgy with me for my colleague’s chicken. I shall pray for veg next week.7 -
Bedding changed, first of four wash loads in machine, dry washing put away.
When the drizzle stops I shall walk Poppet but that will be it for today. I'm going to need all spoons for paid stuff this week so will rest this afternoon. I've cancelled all socialising for this week as I don't want to spread germs.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all (just!). Thank you for the lists, Valli x
Well done on making the phonecalls, pigpen x
Thank you for checking up on me on Sunday, Fayolle. I did type a reply but then forgot to click on "Post Comment"By the time I got back to my computer, most of what I had written was already irrelevant. I am OK-ish: my BP is still far too high, but yesterday my GP put me back on the old medication that I was taking pre-op, so I now have to give this 10 days to take effect. She has promised more if this doesn't work. I am trying to live life in the slow lane but it isn't happening atm, except that I keep falling asleep every afternoon!
GP has gone to the horse piddle this morning for a check-up with the dietician. So far I have
- S&S'd the kitchen
- showered and dressed
- S&S'd the bathroom
- made my bed
- phoned a friend and arranged a meet-up next week, and emailed another friend about joining us
- checked bank accounts
- changed a delivery date
- eaten fruit loaf [I see a waggy finger!]
- done WMx2 of 4, all of them DH's because I made him put all his trousers in the washing basket.
I have lots more little jobs on my list for today, and some have deadlines, so I'd better crack on.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xxx7 -

Lovely trip out, after lunch we went here and, as suspected, it's getting more popular since the neighbours took over and put in a new restaurant. We also popped into their farm shop (where's the  emoji when you need it) and then to their cafe for coffee and cake. I now have three unchipped pices of Denby to replace 3 chipped pieces.
Pots WUALTD, except for the new bits which have been carefully dried and put away; 3 pieces in the bin. *fling*. I've also bought a pot for one of my larger orchids, three of them are all going to move up a size. Meters read and reported.
Finished dusting the hallway, including behind the radiator *atishoo* and it's vacuumed.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Dropped girls at school..Took DD1 for her scan..Took Grandpink and smallest grandbeast to Tesc0Did a 2 weeks shop.. collected DD1At 3 we picked up the children.. took the girls to dentist.. Squeak had a meltdown.. our dentist is an absolute star.. she took time and patience and spoke to Squeak and got her to allow her to feel the glands in her neck and check her tongue and lips.. she is back on the 20th and will go every ew weeks until all the teeth are checked.. Honestly, she is the best dentist ever. Then I collected Twinkles replacement specs.. 2 hours later she had broken them!!!I sorted dentist for 4 of the bigger ones and opticians for 5 bigger ones..
EC has her scan on Thursday.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Hi all
Feeling a bit out of sorts, spoke to DS2 earlier and he sounds a bit down, he still hasnt sorted out a job and somewhere to live when he finishes Uni and I am now worrying about him, which is pointless because he is an adult and more than capable of sorting out his own life.
Finished late at the paid stuff, our bed changed, face stuffed with pizza. In the office tomorrow so need to sort out my packed lunch and get myself ready for bed.
Love, hugs, sticks and spoons all round x9 -
