Don't know if there are more recent threads on this topic, but couldn't find one.

I've just opened and funded a new 1 Yr Virgin Fixed Rate E-ISA Issue 668. it's not showing in either the Virgin Money app or online on the 'main' Virgin Money page where all my other Virgin accounts appear.

The email I received confirming the opening of the account included instructions to visit myvirginmoney.com, select 'savings' and the sort code beginning with 08 -XX-XX option.  I have to do this in order to access the new account.

For some reason I need to enter my Customer ID to access this page, whereas on the 'main' site my Username is required.

I queried if and when the new account would appear on the 'main' site and in the App via secure message, and have received this response:

Thanks for your message. Accounts with a sort code beginning 08 are heritage Virgin Money products. These are on a separate system, so not accessible on this log in. You would access this online at https://uk.virginmoney.com/service/sign-in/savings

I find it odd that a new issue is regarded as a 'heritage product'. Not really very satisfactory, but in the overall scheme of things, with this being an account which hopefully I won't need to access until June of next year, I guess it's not the end of the world.

I opened a Virgin ISA six months ago, and have since opened a regular saver. I've been given two different sets of login details. So I'm a fairly new customer, no "heritage" accounts, but still stuck with two accounts which have to be accessed separately.

Virgin products run on 2 separate platforms so, depending on which products  you hold, you may have 2 separate profiles, each with separate log in details. In the past, VM have said there was no intention to merge the 2 platforms. Whether Nationwide ever get around to it remains to be seen.

Look for your Welcome to Virgin Money email

    As follows:

WELCOME TO YOUR NEW SAVINGS ACCOUNT

Hello [Your name] it's great to have you with us.

Exciting news. Your new account is now open and you can start saving with us straight away.

Your sort code is 08-xx-xx.  You'll need this when you want to log into your online account. You can do this any time by:

    1. visiting  myvirginmoney.com, and select savings
    2. your sort code begins with 08-XX-XX, select this option
    3. enter your Customer ID (which you can find in your Welcome to Virgin Money email)
    4. followed by the security information we ask for

Once you're logged in you'll be able to see your account number, name and balance, etc.

As my exclusive/82 account is maturing Ill move away as the new fixed offering is 08 only and won't be visible in app, and I presume may even require a paper transfer form

The last post is correct. I have 2 Exclusive Cash ISAs with Virgin plus a current and savings account which all have 05 sort codes as I originally was moved from the Yorkshire Bank to Virgin. I wanted to transfer money from one of my ISAs (a variable) into the new 2 year fixed rate ISA and got into trouble because when I applied for the 2 year ISA, I naturally assumed I was an existing customer whereas you are, in fact, A NEW CUSTOMER, because the 2 year fixed ISA has a sort code of 08! I was told the process by Customer Services but I'm told you have a have a different login for 08 accounts to the one for 05 and 82 accounts. I've now opened the 2 year ISA but have to access that through a different login to all my other accounts which is a pain. According to the (very helpful) chap I spoke to in Customer Services, they are hoping to amalgamate the systems but who knows when is anybody's guess!
When it comes.to transferring it out to another provider you likely have the same problem as you usally have to give the correct current providers name Virgin have three to pick from.
Best way to get the correct name Is by using bank sort code checker.
