That's an offence right there, going equipped to commit fraud.0 -
This reminds of the old Wild West of the internet about 15 years ago, when salesman working for certain ISPs on commission, would go out door knocking and promise the earth if you signed up with them whilst slagging off whomever you were currently with. I even had one shout at me thru the letterbox ,accusing me of being stupid to turn down "free money".
Thought that sort of person had gone the way of the dinosaur !!0 -

I recently placed an order with a community fibre company called LilaConnect.
As I am in contact with TalkTalk, they have given me 1 year free, which sounds familiar with your offer.
It has not yet been installed, but should be in the next few months.
They did not tell me any loop holes or anything, just the offer of 1 years free.
With TalkTalk, you can cancel the contract early and just pay the early termination fee, which is £10.20 for each month you are early.
I currently have around 9 months left on the contract, so I will still be better off paying the early termination fee and getting 12 months free with LilaConnect0 -

What's surprising is the low Early Termination Fee. With those numbers I'd bite their arm off.0 -

You can find the early termination charges in the "Early Termination Charges" tab near the bottom of this page for TalkTalk:

When I did this years back, they didn't ask for any such proof.
I wonder how enforcable that would be too.0 -
I am with BT also and paying £54 prior to price increase for 500mb fiber.
I ended up signing a 2 year contract with hyperoptic at 35 for same speed. they dont have baked in increases but terms say they can change prices and if they increase charges then they will give 30 days notice and I can leave without termination charge unless the charge increase is a legal requirement.
i went for early switch so they gave me 9 months free out of the 24 months while my BT contract is still in place and then after 9 months BT ends and I begin paying for Hyperoptic. After BT increase I suspect my saving will be in region of 25 a month.0
