Hmm so I somehow came upon a decent very light minty green made.com couch and it is now in my living room, bit it is quietly arguing with my beige and dated looking leather couch! Can I change foam in leather couch myself? Can I paint it? What would be a good colour - I think it needs to be a bit dark to cover up dents and creases in leather!
So many questions!
Grateful for new /preloved couch :-)Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Morning turtles,
A quiet day yesterday, the weather was beautiful so I went out for a long walk while bf nursed a hangover. Made a berry smoothie, some date and walnut balls and a loaf of bread in between doing some writing and cleaning. Ate from stores. Watched a lot of utube content from people I like and wrote notes. Not an NSD as I picked up a few bits from the supermarket that we had missed the other day.
Grateful for warm sunshine although it’s going to get colder again, for finding a new utube channel I like, for having enough.Student loan £5655

We can make ourselves miserable or we can make ourselves strong. The amount of effort required is the same.
Prejudice of any kind implies that you are identified with the thinking mind. It means you don't see the other human being any more, but only your own concept of that human being. To reduce the aliveness of another human being to a concept is already a form of violence (Eckhart Tolle)
Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realise that nothing is lacking , the whole world belongs to you (Lao Tzu)

Normal service temporarily restored. Charging didn't happen - started but stopped after 10 - 15 minutes. Charged overnight by trying each time I woke up and then checking it again later (plus numerous defects too tedious to mention)8

Grandmanerd, if you message me what sort of laptop you have, I bet we'll have a charger for it somewhere in our house. Not that DH hoards that sort of thing....🤣

(ahem) I may or may not have 4 large black lidded crates full of wires, leads, and chargers that apparently are essential, although in the 3 years they have been on the top shelf of my pantry, they have been delved maybe twice...... so if Mr apple is being unjustly defamed, Dr F0xh0les probably is guilty as charged
. What is it with men and wires????

I've got lots of wires, plugs, techie things as well. No idea what they are for. The Boy left them when he moved into his own flat but apparently "they might came in handy sometime". But not in the last three years !!!
So, I'm just plodding along here, Managing to do a little more every day (when Himself lets me). Himself has been making all our meals under my supervision. He's really rather good. A very nice looking chilli in the slow cooker for dinner. He admitted yesterday that he hasn't done any of the household things before because I was there to do it for him. Ah well, he's launched into domestic mode with great gusto now so perhaps that's one of these odd plusses that comes out of things like this.
I tried to wash my hair with one hand today since I have to try and keep dressings dry. It's not easy!! But It's done and that is a big step forward.
Just watched the last Endeavour. I love that series. It's so clever how it ties in with Morse and Lewis. I agree though that three episodes is not really a series and I think it kind of lost it's way a bit with the three episodes before these last ones. They were a bit odd.
So, I'm sitting here just relaxing with a big glass of tonic. No gin but it's not half bad.
Have a lovely evening. xxx
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
@ditty1234 this is just off the top of my head but you can get leather conditioner for horse tack, something like that might help your sofa? I haven't researched it though, I could be totally wrong!
Had a really early start today as had to drive to Milton Keynes for work. Left nice and early and ended up arriving much earlier than needed, I can't complain though, would rather be early and have some time to chill than be rushing because I'm late.
That took up most of my day, came home and worked for a few more hours then went for a walk in the rain10 -
Today I am grateful for a day at home doing dc some good, for a swathe of mini daffs that I drive past to go to the gym, for seeing both of my gym buddies there, for completing a tough workout, for making a decision, for finishing some marking that's been hanging around for faaaar too long.

Grateful for tasty leftovers for lunch followed by homemade banana bread, for clearing most of the washing pile, and for OH managing to get tix for the musical ‘Hamilton’ which we really want to see (it’s not until next year but feeling excited about it).NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸7
