Looks like a really good outcome.

As others said, a pity you had to force the issue. It should have been done to that standard in the first case.

I really do wonder about the  knowledge/ability/conscience of some people. 

Someone, in this chain of events, has provided really bad customer service - and been forced to provide it on the end.
