It would be worth checking if they are using a Viesmann part, if they are not check with Viesmann if this affects your warranty1

That’s a lot better, but it should be fixed to the roofing sheet. It needs fixing with self tappers or pop rivets. As with thermal movement of the metal sheeting any silicone sealant they’ve used with fail. That’s why it has a aluminium around the edge for fixings.
