Hey Weds evening!Just like everywhere is been freezing today! My feet go really cold in winter and they have been very cold!My week is going well so far, work hasn't been too bad, although we are going through major IT system updates and its very inconvenient. I have a hunch tomorrow is going to slow laptop day.I've been doing couch to 5k and was very lucky this morning, went out for the run which was very refreshing - the tide was out and in a dodgy chariotts of fire moment yours truly was running down the beach... It was fabulous! Came home, quick shower and get ready for work and within an hour it was chucking it down and didn't stop all day!!Is been a spendy couple of days - needed to replace some worn out basic running top and jogging bottoms that are lived in and had train tickets to buy for next weeks travel.2025 financial goals & challenges!

Hey Snowy Thursday!! brrrrrr!Well what a gorgeous surprise to wake up to this morning, we had a generous unexpected dusting of the white stuff!! It was total ironic timing as the cat was due to go to the vet today but this was cancelled. It was a year ago to the day and the weather was the same wet icy day & I had a little slip on my rear! No damage done but poor kitty was shocked and was sore for a few days. This time took no chances and rescheduled for two weeks time.Today has been another NSD, haven't left the house! Although we have had our heating on. OH needs to look after himself so for us we do keep ourselves warm. Have been looking at some tips to keep warm on the cheap. The foil behind the radiators, not sure if we have this in place so will take a look at order if needed. Also could do with a decent thick blanket. I live in wearable blankets!! Love them!!So this evening its been pretty good on the survey front as I'd managed to pick up 3 good paying surveys so my pot is sitting at £20.46 with a couple of quid pending. Getting closer to the £25 target for the month!! i've also got a chance to be paid as an extra in a movie being shot locally. It sounds fun and is paid. Fingers crossed this comes off but quite excited to do something different.2025 financial goals & challenges!

Hello Friday Morning!I'm a bit more up and ready a bit earlier than usual and thought I'd do another diary entry.. Really pleased i've been consistent this week and it really shows as my mood is pretty good atm.I have been casually trying to snack a bit less and of course upping exercise a little bit by the C25k and its showing a little on the scales. I am terrible at jinxing myself so going to take this as a little pat on the back but nothing more. I haven't looked after myself very well this year and it would be really nice to get back to being a bit more of a happier, healthier version of me.2025 financial goals & challenges!

Hey Chilled Saturday,Today should have been a better day but I was stupid and forgot to do something at work and its the kind of task that quickly gets escalated so Monday is not going to be fun with having to explain myself to the senior bosses when i have simply forgotten
. My anxiety is not great and i'm trying to cheer up. Life can suck at times

Hey Sunday Evening!Moving on from Friday panic I was a bit inspired by reading another diary and have tried to make good the kids bedroom. It hadn't had a good clear out since before me moved and am ashamed to say was dusty and well overdue some TLC. I think at the time we moved in I couldn't face getting rid of anything but as the kids have very much outgrown toys and stuff it was time for a cull! There is a small number of well loved toys that wouldn't sell for anything so going to see if I can donate to a nursery / playgroup something like that.I've also put the Christmas tree up minus lights, changed the bed, given the dining room and my bedroom a spruce up & made a beef stew for the beginning of the week. So all in all quite a productive weekend. I have Weds off work, origianlly was going to go to the Christmas market in York but faux paux and booked my train ticket to the city from the wrong location so may just go and get my hair cut and enjoy a fancy scone from a local hotspot.I did do a bulk shop with the big forest making use of £30 of gift cards from THX & spread the cost of some clothes for the kids over 3 months. They were the "wear" Christmas gift. Cat food was also a good price and we were running low so we should be sorted now.I saw a YT video a week or so ago which was billed as a frugal Christmas budget for this particular family. Their budget was 1k inc hosting the Christmas meal, alcohol and gifts. I haven't put a figure on this but for us this will be a lot more basic. I guess my budget will be closer to £500 for food, gifts and one or two alchol treats. We are not hosting dinner for wider family just ourselves and will be having a non traditional meal as the kids don't do a roast. I'll make a Chicken roast dinner for New Year when its just the two of us. Can't miss out on the brussell sprouts although i'm the only one who actually eats them!!2025 financial goals & challenges!

Hello Wet Tuesday,Its a working day today, not expecting to spend anything but have some deliveries to collect and I'd ordered some family pjs for Christmas. It was cheaper for them to be delivered to store so need to walk in to town at lunch to collect.I don't know if i'm peri menapausal or just have the dark dog but not great really and haven't for a few weeks. Not looking forward to work as this is a trigger and yesterday was teary for some of the day, crying on the phone etc. Boss is back from annual leave so another difficult day in store. Hopefully this passes soon.2025 financial goals & challenges!
